Hey,
I wanted also to order the PAM438, but noticed that on the pictures of the TD, the movements are not conpletly black, but the central piece of the rotor is still grey/silver, and the genuie is black ? Or has this already been changed by the TD

What do you think ??

As of October they are still grey. The screws are also silver you may have noticed.

All in all a very minor flaw and this is one of my best watches. I wouldnt hesitate.

oh and depending on version the PR indicator will also be backwards if you want to get really into the detail ;)

Like i said though, as long as the quality has been kept up an amazing watch you wont be unhappy with.

I am completly sure that the quality is awesome! :) and i will order it for sure! :)

I also just saw, that intime.co is selling the version with the seagull movement with rotor decor in black ?? But on the A7750 it is still grey.

I asked puretime.watch if they also have it with the "black" rotor, and they told me yes on both versions. Seagull and A7750

Segull is a low beat movement. Not like gen.
A7750 has a high beat movement like the gen.

with the a7750, is it recommended to manually wind it? I have the 036 and i do it all the time. granted it's manual, but just wondering. and do you know anything about the a7750 version with the black rotor on the back? is that new? and if so, are there any other changes?

You can manually wind the a7750 to get it started but it's an automatic watch so a quick shake will start the movement up.
I believe V6F a7750 version came out first then the seagull version. But not sure if there is a newer a7750 version or not.

You mean the cup of the rotor bearing, not the own rotor.
No there is not a new version
Only Seagull has a bit darkened bearing cup

The bearing cup looks pretty dark to me in that previous in time product photo. Unless they just had some lighting tricks to make it look much darker.

Are both movements still a 24Hr GMT? I just think that the gen where the GMT follows the hour hand exactly (and if you live in GMT + 0 isn't even visible) has a distinct advantage here.

Is the Seagull implementation of GMT better / worse than the 7750. I ask this as someone who has been bitten by a Rolex Explorer II implementation of GMT which spluttered and stopped and eventually stuck but was anyway always extraordinarily hard to adjust properly.

At least the hand stack seems correct (only I guess because Panerai reversed the hand stack from the Explorer).

Look up pics on Crono24 for the gen rotor hub colour as well as movement screw colour.......you'll see that the gen screws are in fact silver and the rotor hub is also accurate. It is not black. In addition some have complained that the strap/bracelet screws should be black....this is also not true. The Gen has dull silver screw heads as well. Lighting can play tricks and if your looking for flaws you'll find them even if they don't exist. I have the watch....it's a very nice piece and worth the money even if it wasn't a rep. I'd post pics but I don't have an image cloud so check this link if it's still for sale.

Hi guys, do they use genuine saffire crystal for the watch? I got mine couple months back.
Just rubbed it against a stainless steel door handle and the mark couldn't go off. This is quite disappointing.
