Dave, don't take all the comments here personally. I think the thread has its own life and will go were the replies for our fellow members take it. Maybe not all of them are relevant, but they serve the purpose of defining the membership's opinion on QC pics posting and related actions.
I personally wouldn't post my QC pics just to have all members find the flaws on my watch, that would ruin my "love" for the watch and it would make me look at it with different eyes. If I can't see a flaw then it's a perfect rep!
That said, I think banning new members because their questions are annoying is a little too much. Personally if I can help I gladly will, if I don't feel like watching those threads I don't.

If you don't trust the dealer enough to send the watch you ordered, you don't have the wrong watch, you have the wrong dealer.:beatahorse:
What dealers once offered as a courtesy to members of the forum is now being abused to the nth. degree. IMO, it has now become 'I realise XXX is a trusted dealer here, but I feel he is trying to scam me. Can I ask for 60,000 other opinions?':spank:
If a dealer sends me the wrong watch, or reneges on putting right a problem, it will be the last watch he sells me. That, to me anyway, is pretty simple.

TD's deal with the general public as well as forum members, and they advertise their watches as 1:1 Swiss Made 1000000% Genuine SuperDuper Copies. They obviously put themselves in the position they're in with the newbies. You can't advertise a 1:1 Super Replica that will look identical under a microscope, and then get mad when noobs pull out their microscope.
If the TDs are dealing with forum members only, they should be taking care of this problem by including the following text in their QC email:
Dear Customer
Thank you for your purchase. Attached are QC images for verifying your order. Please keep in mind that these QC images are only for the following reasons:
1) ensuring that you are getting the right watch
2) identifying any serious flaws in the item
These replica watches are made to resemble genuine watches as much as possible, but we ask that you be reasonable when examining these pictures. We are happy to address any concerns about poor workmanship, major flaws that should not exist, or damage evident in the QC pictures. We want to make sure you have the best replica watch possible.
We cannot address any concerns about this watch as compared to a genuine watch in terms of design or manufacture. When you zoom into a QC picture until the watch is 12 inches wide on your screen, you are bound to see flaws on any watch regardless if it is a replica or genuine.
We are a Trusted Dealer on ??? forum at <link>, so we recommend that if you have any concerns you can PM your pictures to MauiDave and he will advise you thoroughly on your purchase. Or we recommend you check the forum for your brand of watch and educate yourself on any differences that may acceptably exist between the watch we are offering you and the genuine version. Please refrain from reposting these QC pictures on any forums if it is against the rules to do so. We hope that if you are happy with the pictures that we have sent you, then you will be more than happy with your watch in person.

Ok, the last paragraph could use some work. But I still stand by the fact that TDs are telling their customers that it's a perfect copy, and then we're angrily telling noobs that it's not supposed to be perfect and be happy with what you get.
This letter would never be sent out by a TD if all his other competitors promise genuine perfection at replica prices.

That letter could be in the right direction IMHO, and the initiative is left on the TD side so that it is their choice whether to use it or not.
But I would eliminate the part where mauidave is left checking everybody's QC pics

I think we should ban anyone who starts a poll on whether people who post QC pics should be banned.
Once they are banned, we should then ban anyone who moans about anyone who starts a poll on banning people who post QC pics.
If there is anyone left after these people have been banned, they should be banned for not having an opinion on banning people who post QC pics.
As everyone will then have been banned, voila, there will be no one to post QC pics - problem solved
