We should allow to show QC pics because some young members need our help...

And later, my feeling is that it can be helpfull to see how are the watches brought in QC.

But beeing to anal on the qc pics is also not a solution, but it's the guys problem and a forum is supposed to be here so that we can find some help also.. So I'm for the QC pics

This is the insanity that drives the QC mob. The desire to plaster the pictures because they want a public viewing , like its a carcass on the side of the road. What did you do before QC pics ? Did you sit in front of your computer terrified as you bit all your finger nails in agony waiting for your watch ?

I'm doing that now waiting on my pam to clear customs. And I got QC pics!

Young or old, new or long time member, anyone who have read and research enough information of the watches they are getting before making purchase will know what to look out for when receiving QC photos.

It is in fact do more harm than help for posting any QC photos because you will hardly get the same answers from all members here unless the issue is very obvious that in this case, don't even need to post and ask for opinion to know what to do.

I think the relationship with the dealer is as if not more important than qc pics. My chosen dealer ships so fast that the watch often arrives before the qc pics. ;)

2nd offense - ban? This is a joke. If you don't wanna see qc pics go to another thread. Its that easy. There are a small percentage of people willing to help regardless of the nature.

I think your missing the point of the question. Posting QC pics for others general opinions is against forum rules. And repeat offenders have no regard for forum rules. Should there be infractions placed for the breach of rules.

I just saw another QC picture thread in the general forum. The mods already warned the poster about QC pics. I'm quite sure policies are already in place for warnings and possible bans. I don't think this poll serves any purpose Dave except allow people to whine and complain about QC pictures. ;)

Besides, I'm far more annoyed that a simple QC picture thread can get 4 pages of cranky replies. I'd rather see a QC picture thread go unanswered and die.

How about everyone who hates those threads post a link to this sticky in their signature? Get the word out that way without repeatedly posting nasty replies to noobs and driving them away.

Maybe the TDs themselves should have a generic email with their QC pictures that explain the purpose of QC pictures, the expectation of flaws, possibility of dust, distortion due to camera angles, etc. We're all so "concerned" about wasting the TD's time, but they could potential curb this with a form letter with the attached QC pictures.

Thank you very much for pointing potential issues out.

However, as it has been said: The staff is not acting on votes. On sensible suggestions, maybe.

I liked the last option (Only on Sundays) and voted for that.

This is why I posted this to see several suggestions and possibilities. I wasn't saying people should just be banned rather should action be taken to curb it before we lose something valuable. I like my QC but I think if it becomes more of a burden then its worth td's may just refuse to do it anymore.

Did you post the pictures up for our " expert eyes" ? I doubt it. You kept them to yourself and used your brain to realize that it was the wrong watch. You didn't see a need to make a thread so everyone could circle jerk all over your pictures. That's called common sense. Unfortunately, it is lacking in today's society. Before the day is over, someone wll post a thread with QC pics.

this is ridiculous... If you want this forum to stay at 65000 members then do the ban on noobs if they post QC pics...

the op has been here for 3 months and you want to propose such a drastic measure for noobs?? your a noob too even if you paid for a VIP membership...

I hope your not a Cop or some kind of person with authority..

p.s You can't compare buying junk at walmart for $40 vs buying a bad replica with lots of errors to an untrained eye for $300+

This forum is about helping ppl... and if you help a noob now, in a few years he/she will be a pro and give back by helping other noobs...

+1,000

If people didn't reply to the QC threads with all the noob bashing comments, then the threads would die.

We were all noobs once, and I still consider myself to be a noob. I reply to the occasional QC thread, trying to help people out if I can, if they have a legitimate question to ask.

It takes the same amount of time to post a positive response to a thread than it does to post a negative one.

I have even seen negative comments let on QC threads, where they OP has had a legitimate question about the watch they ordered, and they have posted within the QC rules.

In my opinion the best thing to do if someone posts a QC thread, asking how close their watch is to gen, or any other stupid question, is to ignore the thread.

No – QC pictures are very helpful.

Before I accepted my present senior executive position with a large international transportation logistics company; my father, brothers, and I owned a trucking logistics company.

Quality control pictures were very helpful and beneficial for my Dad, brothers and I, and our employees to assess matters pertaining to our trucking and logistics business.

In 2005, we sold the trucking company for over $80 million. At the time when we sold the trucking company, we were one of the largest minority owned trucking and logistics company in the USA.

If it were not for QC pictures which we used to help us run our trucking company, we would never have been able to sell it or over $80 million and donate millions of dollars to charities and Christian organizations.

Most likely, I am the only member here who owned a large trucking and logistics company who used QC pictures to increase revenue and profits at the company and to ensure the safety of our drivers, employees, and the drivers of cars, trucks, and vehicles on the roads and highways in the USA.
