I have a specific question about my QC pics. I'm not sure if the datewheel is OK or is it misaligned? It looks like the numbers are sitting low and in case of number 19 low and to the right. I got the QCs with the date at 8 first and requested another pic and got this one with the 19. What do you guys think? PolonusTM tkingjr andyr

mine is to high. Didn’t noticed it at first.
If you set the date, the numeral is centered. But over time it shifts up.

I wish there was a pill for my OCD..seriously.. The one on the first page looks great and I wish I could get one just like that.

I got an ARF SD43 with a terribly misaligned dw recently and I couldn't wear it, that datewheel stuck out like a sore thumb..I really want this watch, but I'm not sure if I can handle that dw. It's a detail that makes it look cheap.

Another thing I'm not so sure about is the clasp. Do you think that's plastic protection or are those scratches on titanium? And BREITLING lettering looks like it has paint in it, but I think those might be reflections.

About the scratches, yes they do look like scratches. It’s not the protective plastic film. It’s not applied there yet.

About the engraving, hmm looks a bit weird. Visible in any other qc pic? Shouldn’t be any problem I think.

The date wheel. If it bothers you this much already, then don’t buy it. You won’t unsee it. I observed mine today and noticed that alignment difference trough the day. Wierdly enough.

OK, so I'm not delusional, that's quite comforting The pics are low res, but I'm pretty sure there's no protection film on the metal. I'll ask for some more pics of the clasp, this is the only one i have. The 8 on the DW looks acceptable, but the 19 is not particularly good. It might be a misprint. My SD43 had perfectly centered numbers from 1 to 10, 11 to 19 were meh, but completely misaligned from 20 to 31 and my watchsmith couldn't fix it, it was a misprint too. It looked terrible, like a 10$ toy watch.

Mine had No protection film on the clasp when it arrived. However, after 2 months and 75 % Avenger wristtime it s Already scratched pretty good. But I made piece with it... It means I wear it a lot and that I like it!
The dw is indeed not perfect but it s not that bad and you will only notice it when staring.
If you don't like it, don't buy it or save up for the gen. Simple as that...
However, I get more and more picky myself but I woud buy it again without doubt.

I get your point, but I'd like to make my own scratches, if you know what I mean? This watch might even be a return, you never know..
I've been around rep forums for 6 years now and a lot longer in this hobby and I'm noticing that the factories are getting more and more sloppy. I don't remember so many idiotic flaws on super rep status watches and I've owned A LOT of them. They're only inflating prices, nothing else. I don't mind a pube or two, but center the freakin' datewheel ffs!! How hard can it be?

Sometimes we just need to be happy with what we get..

And maybe not 100% ethical but with reps so good as they come, I prefer 10 of them over 1 gen.

It’s not that the date wheel is misprinted, there is just some play. If the date is offcenter and you give you’re wrist a frim shake, the date is centered again. Works for me.

The fact you're asking the question is probably answer enough Buddy. Its obviously something that will bug you and you won't be able to unsee it, so I would ask your TD to see another with a better aligned DW. Shame because the rest looks spot on.

I just received my QC pics and my watch looks great. The date looks nicely centered too. I guess I’m lucky in this regard.

But realize mine looked fine in qc too.
If I new then about play in the date wheel, I would have still bought it. It’s such a beautiful watch.
