Man, I hope you’re source is right mate.

Photos of Gen vs Rep 253S canvas strap
Gen is on the left in most shots & has both spring bars in strap (rep only has one at lug end)
Overall, rep is really close, even the weave of the canvas has a similar pattern. Gen is just slightly darker grey canvas.
Gen bump between stitching is maybe 0.5mm higher (Gen 5.83mm thick / Rep 5.4mm)
This is my first gen strap! The little bit darker grey & darker stitching makes a difference to me. Saw Bandit at dealer today. WOW, these are so close!

Haven't taken the time to note if this is the v1 or v2 mentioned here.
Saw a gen Bandit at dealer today and very happy I got the gen canvas strap. Didn't have the guts to wear the Bandit into the store but once I saw gen... could have wore it.

Just in time for my holiday (a day to spare).
Unfortunatly the rotor broke. Assuming during shipping. Let’s see how to resolve that. For now I removed the rotor, so I can still wear it.
Yes, that watch is really as nice a mentioned before by fellow owners. However I must say I’m a bit disappointed in the ar. A bright purple hue in to many angles. The gen crystal is almost invisible. I really think I will go for a ar mod.
Earlier it was pointed out that the pearl was not as ‘glassy’ as per gen. A little drop of the wife’s clear nail polish made a huge difference for me.

I have a specific question about my QC pics. I'm not sure if the datewheel is OK or is it misaligned? It looks like the numbers are sitting low and in case of number 19 low and to the right. I got the QCs with the date at 8 first and requested another pic and got this one with the 19. What do you guys think? PolonusTM tkingjr andyr

1. Find a wife or a girlfriend.
2. Find her nail polish stash (shouldn’t be hard)
3. You’ll probably find more than one clear nail polish in there. So ask which she think is best. (Chances are she won’t let you use that one though)
4. Apply a little drop on the pearl. If dropped in the center, is smooths out nicely. It’s tempting to use a big drop so you have a nice dome shape. But that doesn’t dry nicely. Better apply a second drop when first one dries.
5. Enjoy your modded pearl.
If you are not satisfied with the result, go back to nailpolish stash and grab the nailpolish remover and a cotton swab. The nail polish is easy to remove.
O, instead of steps 1 to 3. You can also skip that and use any other clear nail polish that you can find ;-)

I think I'd be ok with it, if it was some 100$ special, but it's a 400$ watch. A white datewheel on a black dial sticks out and it screams REEEEEEEP if it's misaligned. My GF Avenger GMT was perfect and I firmly believe that a good Bandit can be found too.
