Today, mine failed a vacuum test and therefore isn't waterproof. Being a franken with gen dial etc. I don't want to risk it. I'll order a gen tube and crown. Anyone else has experienced the same?

I won't expose any of my reps to anything beyond a rain shower.

Marco1937 I have my ARF on the way. I'll take a pic comparing to gen insert when I get it. I'm sure there are already some pictures like that somewhere on this forum though lol.

From my experience with ARF inserts, the engravings look good in real life. Definitely not what these macro pictures make it look like.

Just gave mine the GL. I rejected two before this as the first was +14pd with a misaligned rehaut and a bold date, the other also had a bad rehaut and the date was misaligned. I guess the third time's the charm!

With the hard part out of the they, let the agonizing wait begin. What has everyones shipping times being like recently. I have a feeling it'll be long than they usual 10 days....

Numbers do indeed look deep in comparison to the genuine counterpart.

ARF really did a good job on this insert. I bet it would be pretty hard to tell on the wrist, especially without a side by side comparison. Now if you've spent a lot of time looking at both the gen and ARF, the difference would stand out more.

I think this watch is fine ootb. A datewheel and crystal would make sense too. However, the insert is worth changing if you're going to use a gen dial and hands, etc.

Yeah I'm especially impressed by how it looks white or platinum depending on angle.

A little deeper yes, but the font size and shape is spot on, was hard to tell a diff at first and they are side by side.

Regarding the production process, I can imagine that even Rolex has minor variations in processing the ceramic bezel. The ARF has very nice sharp edges. - so their production process is capable. It seems they have taken a slightly different base model to copy?
