Plow through these threads and find out. It's beyond my expertise so all I can say it's not a straight forward exchange

Is it possible to buy a single SH/VR 3186 movement and swap it in my old GMT with CHS 3186?

Yes it's possible. Look up thrillofhunt to purchase the movement. You will also need gen or aftermarket gen-spec or ARF/VRF/GMF 3185/6 hands. None of your ETA hands will be reusable. You will also need to have a custom movement holder made. Your dial will also need to have feet clipped and new feet glued or soldered on. By the time you pay for all that plus labor costs to do the transplant, you could buy a true clone 3185/6 watch.

I got my QC photos through today. the Rate is showing as +014 s/d. Does this mean that it's +0.14 seconds per day, or + 14 seconds per day. I'm 99% sure it's the latter but I wanted to double check.

Thanks,

Thats 14 sec. per day. Its easy to be regulated if you got a timegrapher or the app. But maybe they can adjust it for you. Its literally pushing/pulling one little notch on a small finger. I am an absolute noob and regulated all my watches [10] now easily, except my timebomb a3186 :)

Thanks a lot. Your tips are highly appreciated!! As I am really not an experienced hobbyist, I think I am going to save my nerves and my money and buy a new watch with clone movement. I got a daytona from Noob with the Superclone and its amazing how accurate it runs ootb. 0 sec per day and 0 ma b.e. Can I expect the new movement running in a similar way?

As our customs bere a rigid, is there a way ordering such a sc GMT via triangle? Thanks again.

The first 3-4 moths I wore it like 5 days a week. Past couple of months I wear it 1 or 2 days and have to reset the date of course..

Today, mine failed a vacuum test and therefore isn't waterproof. Being a franken with gen dial etc. I don't want to risk it. I'll order a gen tube and crown. Anyone else has experienced the same?
