ARF 16610 LV Submariner 904L Kermit photo review

Thanks for the recommendation! I just placed an order for the click spring and the spring washer, while I was at it I ordered a VR 3135 movement. At least I think it’s a VR, what factory they are produced by is never listed, but it’s got the brass housing for the balance jewel.

In China it’s another SA3135 I believe, coined VR here

I have a similar build in making, less gen crown, and click spring. But I haven't decided to replace with a BP dial or replace the markers on ARF.

Thank you, is the BP dial really that much better?
I can compare it with my gen and even with a magnifying glass it is hard to tell the difference for me same for the hands.

I am also se no urgency to change the dial, hourmarkers are realy nice and rounded the printing is is very crisp and correct coresponding a D5 dial.

I really think BP have nicer font color and rounder markers. ARF have sharper print maybe. But ARF dial is definitely a step up from JF, which the printing is too grey.

Nice work bro. Buy an assortment of gaskets in different heights - you may need them. Gaskets can also be custom shaved to whatever height works best. Correct mag level is more important than gen-like crystal height IMO. You may not be able to have both.

So I have the ARF 16610LN Version.
Many of u know I handled tons of 5 Digit Subs in the past like MBW, WM9, TC, JF...
All I can say the ARF has some good points and some bad.
Ok 904L us nice to have, but that's not all in my opinion. The pearl on the Inlay is a step back, JF looks way better.
The Clasp on the ARF is really poor machined in my eyes. Coronet is not stamped right and the overall feeling is not like on TC as example.
Bezelklick is a joke in my opinion, that was better on my older WM9 or TC.
When I compare the build quality next to way older WM9/TC there is no improvements in my opinion.
Anyway with some gen Parts we can build a nice 5 Digit Sub, but out of the box it's not a game changer for me.
Just my two cents.
