<<However, there is a big BUT!!!! that I had to realize and wasted 100€... Gen 3135/3186 DateDisc DOESN’T work as well!!! 41mm Datejust models and 42mm Explorer are using a different DateDisc which is wider because of different diameter. Sounds logical, but to figure out that this is the case we already cut the date teeth of my gen 3135 and realized that it’s completely left oriented.... At the beginning we didn’t know the reason until another great member supported us (BananSplit) and shared that we need 3187 Date Disc. Thus, I spent another 130€ for a gen one. Ado213 did a great job and fitted this as a DWO. It’s now in the same tolerance as gens are. So really good!>>

Do you think a TC DWO v4 will fit and be aligned? It is supposed to fit on 16610 dial

3136 DW should align, its used before the 3235 came about in 2017.

The 3187 DW is made for gmt models, it may be misaligned even with the 3187 being 2mm wider than 3135. Has anyone tried this variation of mod?

To correct myself: only 3187 (not 3186) will fit and of course new 3235.
I did it in my 42mm Noob Explorer. You can review the full journey over here

Yeah arf lugs are little bit rounded instead of sharp gen lugs and look SEL with lugs position when you look it direct to dial (first two images)... Gen is left and arf right

Just think
Of it like this, your ARF could be a 2nd hand 2016 Gen DJ with refinished (softened edged) case

Sorry I dont get it. You used a gen 3187 DW on a 2836 for a explorer ii. How does that clarify that a 3187 DW will align with dj41 date window, which uses 3235, in arf case, 2824. ?????? Sorry mate Im really confused by you.

You could have read my thread ;)

Explorer II 42mm and Datejust II with 41mm share same inner dimensions. Explorer II has a 3187 movement, which is larger than typical 3186 GMT movement. It uses also dials which are larger than regular 3135/3186 with marginal different date window location. But this is enough to misalign regular 3135 Date discs. same goes for old Datejust II with 41mm. Has a wider dial than normal 40mm. But honestly, not sure about the newer Datejust 41. why? Because old Datejust II (116334) had 41mm diameter. But new one 126334 (which is called specifically 41) has only 40mm - ridiculous... So everything depends on the dial and where the date window is located. If its still same size as old dials, you will need a larger date disc than 3135 as an overlay for eta. Hope this clears it up a bit

What I was trying to say the comparison with different movements and models cannot determine if the DW is interchangable without misalignment. To clear things up, the 3136/3235 has a 28.5mm diameter, the 3187 has a 30.97mm diameter. Hence the 3187 DW may be misaligned when used in the DJ41. 3186 also has a 28.5mm diameter, its DW should fit as well.

Are u talking about DJ 41 126334 or 116334? Because again: 116334 is using the same DateDisc as 3187 although they are different movements. That’s what I’m trying to say ;)

This is the DateDisc which should fit 3136 and 3187. and if you say it’s same diameter, then also 3235
