Just wash your watch with soapy warm water and it will shine again,i wash watches every weekend,you will also save bracelet from stretching with that

I love both, fluted and smooth. although I prefer the fluted bezel.

Gen fluted bezel is very expensive and adding the gen fluted bezel to a datejust franken already makes the franken quite expensive if you add crystal dial dw and bezel plus a service

so I wanted to know if the rep fluted bezels are alright compared to gen

or if a gen smooth bezel is a more sensible option than a rep fluted bezel

Ah ok I see. Well my datejusts have not arrived yet, but going off of the pictures of the ARF and a few gens I've seen in real life, I don't think the smooth bezel would be any different really- it's just steel after all. The ARF fluted bezel seems good and that's the general consensus, but for those that know about white gold, they can tell the difference if they really looked.

I also feel like if you were gonna go to that extent of frankening a watch, you might as well choose a manufacturer that makes a better case and just buy the ARF bracelet. Seems like the allure of the ARF is their dials and bracelet. Downsides being case and DW. If you're gonna change the dial to gen, then go for the manufacturer with the best case?

I know you asked for expert opinions, which I am not, so maybe some others can chime in. But that's just my 2cents based off of a lot of reading rather than firsthand experience. I'm waiting for my ARFs to come back with prof xtal and gen datewheel

I can't I'm afraid. Since I was making a Franken Watch, I told my TD to source me whatever colour they could get first... they got me a black. So I'm afraid I have no comparisons of that.... However earlier on the thread.... page 150 or so, someone did post gen silver vs rep silver. There's not much in it really... just a slight yellow hue. I didn't really care about the costs, I just wanted to make it as gen as possible. I'm in fact currently trying to buy a real white gold fluted bezel. Just so it weights a more appropriate amount plus the bezel would be absolutely accurate then.

I've ordered a RZF DJ41 with the smooth bezel and am planning on fitting it with an ARF fluted bezel. If anyone would be interested in exchanging their ARF bezel for a smooth bezel feel free to get in touch with me. Otherwise I will be buying an ARF and having my jeweller swap the bezels for me before reselling.

Your datewheel is better than others i have seen, if the slightly thicker font is not bothering you, no need to swap
