Guys I’m interested in this rhodium by ARF, I see the blue dial has been a hit on this thread but could you post pics of your Rhodiums for me. Also I understand this ARF may probably have the dodgy date wheel is there any chat of a new ARF coming out? Cheers!

If you go through this thread, you'll see a few. A few pages back you'll see my silver. From seeing the silver and Dark grey (Rhodium) in real life, I would tell you to get the Silver. It looks amazing in real life. The Rhodium is dark and does look good but how many Rolex's do you have with dark faces...

They do have a "dodgy" date wheel, but it's a known flaw. They won't fix it because they're still selling super well, no need to really fix it. It's quite an easy fix with a gen 3235 date wheel ~ 150 euro + install.

Thanks for the info. I must admit all my reps have black faces! Haha. I’ll take a look at your silver one, pretty sure I’ve seen it as have had a good flick back through the pages. Just need some time to have a good 200 page read! I’ll also reconsider a blue one. I was a little worried about the blue being hard to match like on the submariner first example.

Either way I’m going to get an order in quick smart with Ryan to take advantage of the Black Friday deal and also hopefully get it before Christmas! Fingers Crossed!

looks lovely James. May I ask, did you mod it yourself or use a UK watch smith? If you used a watch smith and could pm details if they take work I’d be most grateful, it’s hard to find someone to work on reps!

Hi, to all the experts regarding the Datejust, I would like to know how does the fluted bezel on these look compared to gen.

is because Im planning a franken, with smooth bezel, but would like it to do it with the fluted.

but my mind tells me its a better idea to go with a gen smooth bezel instead of a rep fluted bezel.


Does that make sense?

Why would you go gen smooth bezel? Or do you mean gen fluted vs rep smooth bezel?

if your question is only about the dial then why do half of your pics not even show the dial?

Is that so hard to read and respect the rules?

I just compared it to mine and it looks similar. The lighting of some of the photos isn't great but I would accept it. Disclaimer: I'm still new to this and its my second rep purchase. But I'm loving the journey!

The dial is perfectly fine. Lighting is not great. In any case all dials within a batch are the same colour so even if you considered asking for another one, the next one would be the same

I love both, fluted and smooth. although I prefer the fluted bezel.

Gen fluted bezel is very expensive and adding the gen fluted bezel to a datejust franken already makes the franken quite expensive if you add crystal dial dw and bezel plus a service

so I wanted to know if the rep fluted bezels are alright compared to gen

or if a gen smooth bezel is a more sensible option than a rep fluted bezel
