you can have it tested. I wouldn’t take it to a random watchsmith. You’ll risk trouble in the worst case. To make it proper water proof you’d need to buy better gaskets I think. I wouldn’t trust the rep gaskets.

if you bring it to a watchsmith and he wont notice its a replica then you need to change watchsmith ASAP!

C12. As it’s gen it will probably have a bit blue hue as newer gen rolexes do unless it’s a crystal made before Rolex started makng them like that.

TD finally sent me a replacement for my missing pearl, but its too big for the hole in the bezel. I've already tried to scrape the glue residue out, but the pearl still seems much too big. Is there any easy way to make the hole bigger?

So guys I just did some math about the costs I would have to expect to get a crystal, a gen datewheel installed and to get the watch waterproofed to 100m and tested:

• crystal (incl. shipping) 200 usd
• gen dw (incl. shipping) 200 usd (price is from ebay...any way to find cheaper ones?)
• installation of crystal 50 usd
• installation of datewheel 68 usd
• waterproofed to 100m 56 usd

So all in all it would cost me around 600 usd. What do u guys think? Is it a fair price for what u get? Worth it?

I think a gen crystal will be considerably more if it’s new. The dw should be less. Also I’m looking for someone to even do that dw overlay mod in the EU. The gen dw wont fit so it needs to be thinned and fitted as an overlay.

I’m thinking my own project will be more than that. For me it will be worth it.
