Gen dw overlay and crystal looks great too which is what I’m doing. But a gen dial does look awesome. I wonder what a gen 114060 dial will cost if you can find one.

I think you can remove the cyclops. You need to heat it with a gas tourch then remove it. Obviously with the crystal unmounted so you don’t ruin gaskets and stuff.

I don’t think gen dials are easy to find or cheap either, though.

Just found one for around 550 EUR. wow thats really quite expensive..
Do only 114060 dials work? Or what does it mean? (sorry am new to this :) )
But I guess a gen dw will cost pretty much too right?

A gen dw is around 100 euro depending on the state. Gen crystal 300.

550 euro for a gen 114060 dial is less than I expected. Also I think it needs modding to go on an a2824. I’m not sure what it takes exactly. May vvvlllooo knows.

If it was my watch I would do DW overlay with Gen datewheel..can't beat Gen date wheel. I don't know anyone from there but if you look at the mod section, there are a lot of good mod d ers there. Otherwise, source a gen dial with no date and install, have a modder also do that as you have to cut the feet.

So u would suggest only getting a new datewheel? What about the crystal? :)

Just cut the dial feet and rubber cement it to the movement. Any modded can do this and it’s not that difficult.

The question is whether you wanna go no date. If you stick to 116610 i’d say gen dw and xtal are required to make it look less fake. Those are the most obvious tells for me. Then the dial but that’s expensive so you need to consider if you think it’s really what you want.

vvvlllooo did you mod the 2824 version?

edit; I see above it’s 2824.

Also if you wanna franken the 3135 version is the wau to go I think.

Mhm I mean I really love the look of the No-Date, but its getting quite expensive I see.
Maybe I will just mod with dw and crystal as you guys told me :)

What about the waterresistance of the watch? I am definitely going to get it tested, but is there a way to get it up to 100m waterproof? And can I take the rep to a "normal" watch smith/dealer wothout problems?
