Aquanaut 5168G Blue / Green by 3KF

Getting QC pics for my green order soon, but dont you guys think the dial color is quite a stark difference from Gen?

Yes, indeed. Dial color and color of the strap are completely off in this picture compared to gen.
but where did you get the picture from if you havent recieved you QC pics yet. Are you sure it is a 3k version on the picture?
if so Im a bit nervous how the blue one might look like that i ordered some days ago (awaiting QC pics in the next 5-10 days).

My bracelet dealer offers me a bracelet for Aquanaut, the quality seems really good to me, very flexible, directly regains its shape when you fold it. While the 3KF bracelet keeps the deformation.
But I am not sufficiently expert to judge the color.
I would like to have the opinion of specialists before buying it.
Does this green color really exist?

@jacguy: the green one looks good to me as far as I can tell from the pictures. Does it have the 22 mm size like the gen strap for 5168. Does your strap dealer also offer the blue strap version for the blue 5168?

No he only have,these 2 pieces for 5167 that I show on the pictures .1 green and 1 orange.I need in reality a black one,but he don't have for the moment.He have also a few gen,but not in black,in green and coffee color and he ask 450€ for gen.
I didn't ask him about 5168,because I don't have a watch for that.
Monday I will ask him,and I let you know

He's likely to be looking at a big order, I would love to have a close-to-gen blue strap for the 5168 too!

I will be curious to hear from those who've ordered how the 42mm size wears relative to the 5167. I wear the 3KF 5167 in rotation with other divers and love the low profile and fit. Based on your opinions I'd take a flyer on the blue dial.

I have bought from this seller before. As you mentioned, expensive but their service is top notch, ships very fast and they are known to carry some rare genuine parts.

Couple of QC's. Color looks pretty good, perhaps a bit too light but very passable.

Khaki green is what we need. $800 is steep for the gen strap

Arrived. The blue is an almost perfect match to the gen darker blue, its no where near as light as the QC images make it look. Pretty impressed!

Only downside is that the clasp is average. It is not very strong and a gap appears between the two ends when wearing it. Not sure if that can be fixed somehow.

The blue is stunning. I have to say the bezel profile looks much improved to some of the previous 3KF batches. I may source a 5168 case and use it for my 5167 franken build

I have a 5167 gen dial already but I paid way more than $2000 for it unfortunately lol. Also I just realized the 5168 case has the WG stamps on rear of lugs, so it will be a no go for me.

Looking forward to seeing some recent QC pics of 3KF 5167 on here, it’s the bezel size I’m most interested in.
