I just got my ZF V3 blue after 2 months wait. I have to say im quite impress with the ZF built. The dial looks pretty nice with 3D depth and not so blue tone as the QC images. Here are some close up photos of the dial and watch under sun light. Cheers!

It's too small to see the flow.
Is the color and quality of ZF v3 dial good enough?

I am not happy with this guy. He is mostly color blind and has not s clue about proportion.

The pins on mine ranged from light nudge from a paperclip to hard nudge from paperclip, but never so stuck I had to use my pin pusher like I would on a Nautilus bracelet.

If you buy a cheap tool, the needle end might get stuck in the bracellet and break off too.

I wouldn't necessarily call this a "mod". Lol

I think any watch smith, or even someone with just more rudimentary skills and the equipment to remove the hands and to re-attach them, should be able to do this. You'd just have to hack the movement right at the moment of the change, remove the crown and stem and then remove the hands and put them back on to show 12:00 o'clock... Voila! That's it.

Mine changes at 11:53 and I couldn't care less. Now, if it would change at 10:21 or 2:35 though, that would be a different story altogether.

In my gens (I have exactly 70 APs now having sold a few duplicate pieces past 2 weeks) the date changes occur between 2350-0010hrs.
I think that 2359hrs is very acceptable in a rep (or any gen in fact). And more precise than a lot of gens I’ve personally seen.

Oh... good point. Yes, of course that's possible. Although due to the geometry of the teeth on the wheels in the motion works, there's going to be some variation from day to day.

Guys, please remember that just because the date flips over at 0000hrs one day, it will likely not be the case for all 31 days. Even the gen has variations in the date change moment and this holds true to a larger extent for the rep. A few minutes variance is normal, let’s be happy that the rep makers released an instant date change clone movement instead of worrying about an instant date change occurring at 0006hrs. If you understand how the date change mechanism works you’ll understand it’s impossible to have the date change occur at the exact same moment (ie the perfect moment of 0000) all 31 days of the month.

I played around with mine and it's true, the date change varies within a few minutes range (11:51 - 11:54 with mine). Makes adjustment attempts even less pointless then...

You meant even more pointless I guess...

But yes, a lot of guys expect the date change to stay at 0000hrs once the hand is reset on a given date to achieve this but this will not be the case, even for gens.
