I just read on another forum somewhere that a common and obvious "tell" on ZF v3 models is that the "AP" is often rotated very, very slightly clockwise. I looked at some QCs and noted that rotation to be true. Then I looked up some pics of gens and it wasn't difficult to find examples of the exact same issue, so it's apparently not much of a tell at all.

Reptime QC crew be like:

If you look at the dial at 24,5° with about 825 lumen cold 6000K light and use a 13x magnifying glass, you can clearly see, that the engraving on the logo is faulty.

I've come to conclude that the only value in Reddit is entertainment. And really only and exclusively entertainment.

For actual and reliable rep and gen knowledge, I always return to RWI.

Other web forums are better than Reptime, but still ultimately no match for RWI.

I'll try to take some outdoors with natural light this week, if I get the chance, maybe already tomorrow.
Finally some afternoon sun rays today.

Pretty amazing how the color tones in the blue can fundamentally change with small adjustments in light angles and directions:

For those with the ZF V3, can I check whether the rotor spins freely and easily? My watch rotor is quite tight out of the box, gets caught midway and only spins when the watch is shaken. I am wondering whether I should take mine to a watchsmith for service. Thanks in advance!

I've looked at mine and I can't find any problem with it. Spins fairly easily and doesn't seem to get stuck or need any shaking. Seen much tighter rotors on reps before...

Mine is the same as yours, but if you can continue wearing it without the power reserve dying then it should be fine.

Had mine serviced a couple of weeks after getting it. It was running at +25/day and stops about 55 hours. After
service it's at +7/day, I haven't tested if the watch can hit the 70 hr power reserve. 😁

Nice pics. Great to see the different hues in different lights. I have a few arriving over the next couple weeks and will also post pics after I receive them.

Good improvement!

But the potential is apparently even higher. Mine is running much better than +7s, unserviced and out of the box (with roughly +2 to +3s at the moment).

I doubt I will stumble across a better running movement in a stock rep any time soon. The only watch in my collection that performs better is my gen co-axial Speedmaster.

May be luck as well...

Interesting seeing the dial variations, especially on the blue ones.
ZF needs to up their pantograph game LOL
2 pages back I was really excited for the update, but now it seems its still much too flat. (Colour difference excluded)

Nevertheless, baby steps forward :)

Is there a post or thread for comparison photos or video of GEN vs Rep dial for 15500 ZF v3 blue dial?
I heard that the blue custom dial will be out after the LUNA festival.
Should I wait or not?
