They are softer than the rep straps and thus more comfortable, I have to wear mine large to avoid red marks at the end of the day; but this is also due to the shitty shape of the deployant.

Like the hublot's.. I also got the red mark on bump of wrist yesterday - so are APbands gen ones or just good quality aftermarket? If not gen - how/where do you go about getting a gen from?

(Sorry for all the Q's, took me ages to source gen gummy on hublot)

AP bands is an independent aftermarket strap company that makes Good quality straps, the materials are what they say they are, thus the price but it has no links to Audemars Piguet.
Its in my opinion a good alternative and it is also widely used by gen owners.
I guess its as painful to source gen straps for Aps as for Hublots, FML, I actually have to get a gen Hublot gummy too.

Makes sense, mate. So you're suggesting to get a gen rubber AP it would have to come from a boutique or a gen owner also?

Pain in the ass, we need to find someone with a gen AP and a gen Hub and use their serial codes to order gen straps in! Took me ages to source the specific gummy i was after, and then once i had it it made me hate the rep gummy on my other so now looking for one for that  :frusty: :frusty:

What hublots have you got?

There is an AP boutique where I live so I ll try my luck there but yes I think its the same as for Hublots. You can always give it a go on their site with a fake email address, http://www.audemarspiguet.com/en/service-portal?page=contact
If that doenst work then there is always strap daddy if you are very lucky or ebay where some pop up once in a while, or this: http://www.grayandsons.com/category/175 where they might be able to source it.
And a cheaper easier alternative is always: http://apbands.com/shop/merchant.mv...BERBLACK&Category_Code=APROO&Product_Count=46
As for the Hublot I am still clueless on how to get the gen gummy... :frusty:
I have a v6 evo SS/SS on its way which should be here latest tomorrow afternoon from Ryan.

Any thoughts or opinions on how long you think the plating will last (if watch is worn everyday vs part of rotation , maybe once a week?)

AP straps are not hard to get, which AP Boutique do you live near to? In the EU, London is the one you want to get your strap from, good prices.
