u picked well because they made the watch based off the white gen... although angus did say that the blue was his fav because of the shine ... but the white did have a nice silver effect.. almost as good as the gen...
Im 100% sure u'll feel like a BOSS when u first wear it....

My QC pics. I think i'll approve. Doesn't appear to be a problem with the misaligned logo or dw.

Is +8sec reasonable on the asian movement?

Looks good to me. The logo is straight. The DW is left justified, but I think that's true of every one of this maker's watches and not a reason for rejecting this watch. I know many members have a pet peave with misalligned DW, but I don't think this is noticeable in the real world--particular without a cyclops. As for the movement, the numbers look good to me--gaining 8 seconds a day is perfectly acceptable.

A big part of the fun of these forums is the research and education that experienced members share with everyone. I see a thread listing the Super Reps as a lazy mans thread.

Yes time is precious, if you are that person who says I want a super rep thread so I don't waste time... Well I would say..make a monetary donation to enjoy the convenience. After all you prolly don't care about the members of forums IMO.

Just sayin'.
Masmannan

I also find one mans "super rep" is another mans trash.... Lol

Or what is a super rep today someone discovers a fatal flaw and it's on....

Reading and discovery is oart of the fun, i agree.

Whats wrong with the Bezel screws? the Gen is the one on the left with the messed up screw just so you guys know, I asked angus to clarify. hope that clears things

They must have re-assembled it wrong. No way the gen came from the factory with the screws turned.

'Major' issues:
BP: No polished rehaut
New Maker: poorly aligned date wheel

Minor issues:
BP: bracelet that comes off too easily, blue dial not as good as new makers, shoddy QC from BP fac, no decoration on movement
New maker: missing laser etching/white line thing on the AP logo, bezel screws not recessed

I don't have either yet, nor are these authoritative/valid reasons for picking one maker over the other - just reporting what members across the boards having been saying.

Personally, I chose the new maker because i'm a much bigger fan of their blue dial and the cote de geneve decoration on the movement, and hopefully fix the date wheel issue myself... but that's just me

Just to add that Angus version have too small date numbers.
They should be filling up the date window better.

But on the other hand the date window is better (more square) on Angus 15400.

You win some and you loose some ;)

Just ordered my 'Angus' - white dial.. Ordered the v4.1 diver at the same time so just decided i wanted a bit of contrast.

Been a while since the feeling you get when waiting for a little brown box... or two :D

Just a question guys, does anyone know if the ap bands conversion kits or any other cheaper alternatives would fit angus' or BP's new 15400s?
I love this watch but I would want to put it on a leather strap.

Thanks
