This is purely speculation as i haven't seen the BP IRL and my 'angus' is on the way so i haven't received that yet but the overall idea i got was that the BP model is the same quality as the previous RO models like the 15300 - i had these and they were just poorly made, horrible finishing of bracelet, bad brushed finish and the screws were terrible like you used to get in the breitlings 4 years ago.

When angus posted the pics of BP, gen and 'Angus' my girlfriend could pick the BP out as being the rep within seconds but she had no idea between the Angus vs gen. The overall finishing of it just looks superior and much more like a 12k+ watch, if you don't know the minute details, like my girlfriend doesn't, then she couldn't tell you which was the gen.

For me personally this makes the 'angus' and instant winner, on the RO models the most important aspect IMO is the finishing and quality of finish.

You may not agree but this is just my opinion - the quality difference is easily seeable and personally I think the only notable flaw on the Angus is the bezel screws, not that they may not be recessed but the deepness of the screw as you pointed out really does have a big effect on how they look.

- The logo as long as it's centered (angus has confirmed the majority are, so reject until you get one), on the white dial where the white line is not noticeable is far nicer on the 'Angus' whereas the BP to me it looks 'stuck over the dial' rather than blending.

- The date-cutout i'm pretty sure on BP has been confirmed that it's to big and therefore completely wrong, Angus has said that he does have models where the datewheel is centered so hope to get one of those, if not replace with edgematic DW - it's fixable unlike the wrong cut-out.

- Think it's agreed by most the dial is superior on the 'Angus' over the BP. The 'automatic' also from the pic below looks way to big on the BP model.

- Overall quality of everything on 'Angus' seems superior and those with the BP have said the bracelet is not great nor the deployment.

Therefore the only flaw on Angus that may be an issue for some is the depth of the screw heads however unless you have the gen next to it will you really notice this? i wouldn't...

I really don't see any reason other than someone wanting to spend less, why they would pick a BP over the 'Angus'.

I went for white dial in the end mate, just something about it and as you say it's god damn beautiful :cheese:.

Can't wait for the RG version to come out with the hope of getting an OEM bracelet on it somehow - I know you'd 100% be down for one of those!!:hehehe:

Will get a little review up when it's arrive and try my best at pics up to that standard of yours! Review is hard though as never seen the 15400 gen IRL but we'll have go.

Matt's good mate - was with him couple of weekends ago, he's saving his ££'s up ATM so no new watches, hence staying away from the forums so he can't give in :hehehe: to be honest a great idea considering all the new reps coming out recently! Still in love with his diver, think he wears it 95% of time.. if these 15400's are good though i reckon he may crumble after seeing it IRL.

Rubber00,

In terms of finishing, I think the BP is excellent. I never bought the 15300, so i cant compare them. However, I just received delivery of my Safari yesterday and the finish and "feel" of the BP and noob safari ultimate are the same. In the picture you posted, I tried your test and my wife picked the BP out as the rep too. She thought us was the rep because the color of the white dial on the BP isn't as close as the gen and angus version. In that picture, the dial color is the most obvious difference. In the real world, you won't have watches side by side, so details like the bezel screws and dial markers are more noticeable tells. I am sure these are all nit picks, but the price difference between the watches is significant and I am not sure it's warranted.

When you get your watch, please post your impressions here. I am happy to change my view.

I remember you saying earlier in the thread you were happy with the quality of the BP - i'm sure i've read in another thread some had issues with the bracelet & deployment.. wasn't just making it up, honest :hehehe:.
The price significance is significant to be fair - i hadn't realised what price they were up for until i ordered it.

The pic was taken by Angus so it probably is slightly biased dependent on how crafty he is! Did your wife eventually say she thought the middle one was real because the end one had blue wrapping on it?

I'll get my thoughts and decent pics up & maybe if it's good enough I'll do a video. Shame someone's not going to have both to do a good side>side.

If Ryan's shipping is as fast as previous times I'll hopefully have it mid next week

Assuming you are willing to polish rehaut and that the moments are of comparable quality, I am growing more convinced that the BP version it's the better value and better watch overall.

You may very well be correct! I hope you are because I've gone to so much trouble with my BP edition. But, I'm withholding judgement on this until I have a chance to compare the two myself in the flesh, however one thing you did not mention in this writeup is the shoddy clasp on many of the BP watches.

I did mention that some people had reported issues with their clasp in various posts in this thread, including an issue with the pin that locks it in place. I have only read two complaints about this and my clasp has functioned perfectly since day one.

My wife hates my watch fetish at this point, so she wasn't down for a long guess which is real game. She did pick the BP as the rep in the side by side because if the dial color. You can't really see fine detail in the picture, but I was showing it to her on my galaxy S3, so that might have something to do with it too.

Btw, I hope the Angus version is a winner in the real world because I am buying this with a silver dial in RG. On that watch the quality of the plating is going to be key!

Josh has the Tt model up on his site, I'm assuming the same Bp factory going by the rotor and the Rehaut looks polished now.

From looking at this picture alone the Angus version is more like Gen. You can hardly tell.

Just showed this picture to my GF as well. She picked the BP as the fake first guess.
