Apparently nobody wants such a thread but for that purpose puretime's "Bull's eye zone" is doing the job pretty well if you want a rough idea. ;)

I agree!!!! We should have a Super Rep list made.. I know that the pam 111 buy noob makes the list, not sure if the AP diver V4.1 makes the list or not.. but members with more experience could come up with a list....

Yep, correct that one.

It's the one on Angus web site ATM but with a few updates, the other that he's working on is still months away, personally think $400+ is a bit overpriced for the one due in a few days for a Asian movement.

Do you guys know if the puretime version will have some sort of engravings on the movements?
It does say: "Asian 2824 clone 25J automatic movement at 28800vph(decorated same as genuine)" on his webpage.

Thanks!

As far as I know, it has decorated bridges, but no engravings on the movement. It does have an engraved rotor that looks pretty good. Honestly, a 2824 looks nothing like a cal. 3120 so movement engraving couldn't be accurate and they always seem to spell something wrong anyway. The rotor is the most important decoration anyway.

Guys, please note that I updated the review today to include a discussion and comparison of the final version of Angus' 15400 that he took delivery today. Please check it out when you have a moment.

When I am looking at the pictures of the Gen and Angus version side by side, the bezel screws are what I look at out to "tell" the difference between the two watches. The other tell, at least on the silver/white dial is the tapissarie is a bit deeper on the rep. Here's a picture where I think you can see these "tells" more clearly:

I don't think there's any cost effective fix for this issue. I don't think it would really make a huge difference on the wrist, but it is absolutely a tell.

Also, looking at this picture, is it me, or does the AP logo look a little crooked on Angus' dial? I think this watch may have just finished making love to an an LMPO. :)

And white DW unfortunate..
Anyone knows how the bezel screws are attached from the back?
Looking at PT site I just see round nuts in the holes, but that cant be right?
Look at pics 12-14:

The bezel screws go straight througb the watch and hold the whole piece together. The round screws in the back screw on the front screws in the bezel. This is correct per gen.

They are not recessed like gen.
Its actually quite easy to see on the gen, makes them look prefect flat as opposed to rounded when they are not.

Just like the BP?
But I think I see "something", like a nut, in the holes in Angus pics of the removed caseback?

EDIT:
You are right, its probably just the darker threads of the screws I'm seeing..

I just ordered a white one. None of these dials will ever be 100% correctly repped. If you've seen the gen you maybe understand why. The gen has a certain shine on it that will be extremely hard to rep. Also the way the gen dial has been made is hard to rep. The one from Angus looks quite close! Since they used a white gen I'm going for white. Blue will be the most inaccurate one imo thought the nicest one of them all.

Black is hard as well to rep.

My only concern right now is the datewheel on the white one, the background doesn't have a bone colour like the gen. I hope to solve that with my custom datewheels I made a few months back.

Let me know how you get on with the custom datewheel mate - going to wait for a couple of members to receive theres first before deciding white or black but the accurate datewheel may help the white/silver side.

Will do! :) All it needs is to be installed! :) It fit's the movement, I just hope the dimensions of the date window from the ROO are the same as the 15400, my guess is it will fit as it's just a standard font height.

Edgematic, I assume you ordered the angus version? I hope you can post a detailed review when you have a chance. I was intending to pick one up to do a comparison, but I just blew my money on a safari and rolex SD. I may sell off a couple of pieces, but Angus is saying the black bay will be ready in September and I can't re-re-reeee-resist!
