Just got my baby back from my watchsmith, and I must say that it is VERY satisfying. [emoji4] Other than a couple of left aligned dates, the fonts are very on point.

It seems like many dates are also top aligned a bit...5 .. 7...most of the 20's. Is that your movement or the datewheel?

It's not too bad to be honest. Keep in mind the pics that were posted are in a like 15x zoom. It's not too noticeable on the wrist and you don't look at your date cut with a loupe all the time.

both omega and mikey date wheels expose flaws in 20x zoom. in real life size the human eye will detect bad alignment before the longer serifs on mikey. eyes are program judge distances relative to space next to object. franken suffer mild ocd so can not unsee
edgematic mention in other thread he will fix alignment issue so people will wait omega v2. manufacturer rule, never make announcement for update people will not buy old version :bolt:
Guys, let's not be extreme in our criticism of either Datewheels.
Remember these guys spent thousands of dollars and man hours trying to bring our hobby to the next level and bring us a new Datewheel.
Both mikey and team omega deserve a standing ovation for how far they have come and not nitpicking about how the font is 0.00001mm to the left.
Personally, its things like these that turn some of us off from developing new advancements or even offering what we already have to the public.
Remember these guys spent thousands of dollars and man hours trying to bring our hobby to the next level and bring us a new Datewheel.

Hey bro i understand what youre saying and agree for the most part. I think i need point out that no one is being disrespectful nor ungrateful for all of the things edge, legend, mikey, yourself has done for the community.
But i dont think it was being nitpicky to point out alignment issues. Especially when edge had no such alignment issues with his older v1 or v2 datewheels. I would have thought having Al (legend) in the mix would improve all aspects of the datewheel, and for the most part it has with the exception of the alignment. I guess there were great expectations to be had from an all star team like legend and edge
Moreover, people pointing out the alignment issue has prompted the omega team to fix/upgrade to a new even better version, not discourge the project from moving forward

This datewheel will only be improved once they are sold out. Or there will be no other version and we'll focus on the 7750 dw and modern font dw.
This is still one of the best datewheels around esp. for the guys wanting the old font on the divers.
I am neutral on both DWs: Mikey and Edge. Whatever people want me to install, I will install it. But it would be foolish to think that neither producer have profited. Initially, maybe they invest $1,000s. But only to make it back and more. ... Both DWs are imperfect. Both need improving. Anybody with a 10X loupe can see that, LOL. Re-invest money into V2 and V3 before going on to other DWs. Please. Otherwise, uh .... Sorry. The "pursuit for perfection" needs to be re-initiated after every run, even if it feel like a Sisyphus task. Neither are "the best" because they have not yet become "the best." I pushed Prof to produce a V2 cyclops and he did, and now it is perfect, after I criticized his V1 (which is still the best cyclops for Frankens). So, what keeps the DW producers from a V2? They need to think past their resistances.... We all do. And our interests and impulses.
