That's how i feel about Canada post every day man. Once it's handed off to them from EMS it just takes forever.

Why? Surely EMS is subject to the same customs process as any other delivery service.

Correct me if I am wrong but does EMS not just hand it off to the local posting service one it crosses the border to whatever respective country it was shipped into?

I don't know what relly goes in the background but I can tell you for sure that ems gets less scrutiny from Customs than DHL and Co.
Maybe cause ems is offered by the postal offices which are owned by local governments. Or they just think that no one will ship big ticket items thru them.
