I have a gen dial and a v7, rep lume is the same.I remember reading on the forum that the rep lume is pretty much on par with the gen i.e not that bright to begin with.
I still prefer the JF V7 as I owned one and it's amazing imhoHello friends..
ive heard the closest rep for the diver is noob 5.1 & JF v7..
which one is better?
mind to buy 1..
thank you..
Review without pics????Quick review:
Just got myself a gen ap diver 15703st h serial
Compared it with my v6 and 3.5
Nothing beats a gen AP when you compare it in your hands. (On the wrist it might be a different story but there are certainly flaws)
Rep vs gen in terms of " in the hands" not "on the wrist"
The timing bezel clicks VERY solidly ( it thuds each click like a boss). I was quite shocked at first how solid it was. The 3120 winds like butter. There is the typical minute hand jump on the 3120 when pushing the crown back in, same as on my 15300
The rubber crowns are very soft ( like gummy bears) compared to the reps (which are quite hard). While the gen rubber is pleasant to touch i think the rep would be more durable. If you look at preloved gens for sale you will notice the rubber crowns can be a bit shredded
The v6 dial is not as reflective as the gen and the 3.5 is too reflective ( like its almost too plasticky)
The guilloche pattern is much finer on the gen
Rep watches can be a slippery slope to gens!
