I bet everyone in here has worn a rep into an AD, even those writing the OP off.
lol its like asking anyone on 3si if they drive over 100mph in their 3000gt/stealth, you get the same response.....
[BLINK]No and those who do should be locked up![/BLINK]
yet after spending 3 months over in the states with the 3si lot...90% of them dont drive below 120mph

I dont think he means flashing it around in a dealer, i have before but under my sleeve (dont have the b*lls to flash it out) and purely because my daily beater is a rep...

Im not gonna go through the hassle of removing it everytime i walk into a shop that sells watches

MMA, no offense, but claiming someone you don't know is lying is even more rude than wearing a rep into an AD.

Context dude. You should have quoted my whole post ;). Authorised Dealers are by definition any establishment selling genuine watches that aren't grey market.

Besides, this isn't a MENSA debate, so it's far from serious. Saying you've never walked in to an AD with a rep on is like saying you've never picked your nose. Of course you have, it's just not cool to admit it around here.

Peace. :)

No offense taken! :)

I guess I´m just to new to the hobby.
But I actually cant remember being in a store that sell watches wearing a rep.
But then again, I´ve only collected reps for two month... ;)

Back to topic.
I´m sure that what the OP mean about an AD is a dealer that sell high end watches like Breitling, Rolex, Omega, etc. -Not a department store with a rack of $10 plastic Casio´s.

:)

lol sorry i wouldn't own a casio. Gspot or not lmao

I own a couple of Casios. Great watch for the money.
I'm not sure why you would laugh at a decent watch of any make or price range. If you see my thread of my collection (which needs to be updated with new acquisitions) you'll see that I'm not poor or have bad taste. I just like and appreciate all kinds of watches for what they are and what they offer. Others I hate, and this in independant of brand or pricing.
You sound immature.

Nothing wrong with Casio. Half the world's armies use the MudMan GShock. There is a reason for that ya know. I suspect near half the people here would have a Casio of some kind or another in the house.

For ne frogman and mudman are modern classics. I have all kind of watches both gen and rep. I wear different watches. For different ocassions. I would never wear my 25th anniversary frogman at a michelin star restaurant with the wife, I'd take a rolex. However I probably would opt for the frogman if I was out for an all night party session with the boys.

+1 for the G-shock mudman. i served in the british armed forces as a royal marines commando and my mudman took some serious sh*t and i still have it today....plus a few scratches and marks of course!
a seriously hardcore, hard wearing watch

I've definitely got my eye on a G-Shock Mudman. I wasn't going to say anything to the Casio comment but since others have addressed it, I think G-Shocks are nigh bulletproof and damn accurate for the money.

The new GW3000 series is a damn fine looking piece.

Just before Christmas I did a bit of unplanned shopping for my wife while wearing my PAM 287 rep. The guy at Christian Dior was falling all over himself trying to sell me a watch when he saw it. The staff at Mont Blanc and Hermes were pretty damned attentive as well. However, I imagine these people sell scarves and handbags and pens mainly and know next to nothing about watches. I did go into the PAM AD that day, but kept it hidden under my sleeve :).

A few months ago I bought a PO from Narikaa for a buddy. He took it into a mall shop to get the bracelet sized and told me afterward that the guy told him about 5 times what a beautiful watch it was.

I agree it's a bad idea to wear a rep into an AD that sells high end watches (Patek's, Vacheron's, etc.) those guys are usually pretty knowledgeable. But for f**k's sake, give the OP a break. He's new, and like most normal people, probably has better things to do than to obsess about crown guard shapes and lume mixtures. Behaving condescendingly to the OP because you have more experience with, or a superior knowledge of, fake watches is just pain pathetic. Get a life, you f*ing tossers. Good on you avenger007 and the others who stood up for M4ttl4ne.

HAHAHAHA the dude! that was an hilarious rant! cracked me up! cheers mate!

studio1one: the ministry of defence here in the U.k are as tight as a ducks ass.
you are lucky if are issued with a new pair of boots never mind about a shiny new watch of your choice!
most of the lads buy our own kit as the stuff they supply is shit. alot of guys use traser or luminox divers with tritium dials but i preferred the mudman (stock btw)
both are very robust tho and used by special forces worldwide.
