@Cigar_Guy97 , way better choices out there for the $$$. Woodford has become way overpriced. Old Forester is a good option for less $$$.
Old forester is fantastic, but double oaked where I am is only about $5 more than old forester 1910 I’ve even seen them the same price. NC has some kind of law where bottles can only sell retail at MSRP

Just had a 1920, 115 proof last night. Really good stuff, lots of flavor and nowhere near the burn I would expect from a proof that high.

Four Roses Single barrel is another one that kinda flies under some people's radar. Great sub-$50 bottle and is probably one of the best I've had neat, rocks or even in an old fashioned. Always try to keep a bottle of that in the collection behind the bar for sipping and watching some hockey.

If you’re a fan of Lagavulin 16, you clearly appreciate a good smoky dram. For something in a more average price range but still full of character, I’d recommend Ardbeg 10.
It’s peaty, bold, and delivers a great Islay experience without breaking the bank. Laphroaig 10 is another solid pick with that punchy smoke and medicinal edge you might enjoy!

I drink my whisky like brandy, first warm the glass with my hands and then take a good long sniff to breath in the peat and smoke smells.
Then a small drink to roll around my mouth to cover all the taste buds. Then swallow it slowly.
