Once you go high proof, you don't go back, unless it's for sipping and you've run out of high proof.I don't listen to the haters, blanton's sb is a good low proof sipper regardless of what the taters say.

Barrel proof is the preference but sometimes a low proof sipper is what the doctor orderedOnce you go high proof, you don't go back, unless it's for sipping and you've run out of high proof.
This is a great bottle, 10 year, 100 proof, not too low or too high, used to be really hard to find but you can get it for 65 bucks. Great flavor profile and easy to drink.
As a general rule, if I see two bottles of whiskey by the same maker, I'll grab the bonded / bottled in bond just due to being 100 proof or above. There's generally so much more flavor depth there. This is a great bottle, 10 year, 100 proof, not too low or too high, used to be really hard to find but you can get it for 65 bucks. You can pick that up for ~$30-40 . Not that it sits on shelves past day 1 or 2. Just gotta go to the liquor store daily like a real enthusiast. That's a wonderful bottle that is always overpriced, but if you kind it close to msrp, worth a pickup for sure.

Just had a pour of bombergers, 100 bucks, kinda hard to find but very easy to drink@Cigar_Guy97 , way better choices out there for the $$$. Woodford has become way overpriced. Old Forester is a good option for less $$$.
