I agree with the OP

if the normal rep pics have correct detail and his one has crazy engraving - its no good

However, the OP has done a TERRIBLE job of handling the issue

if you want a perfect watch, go to an AP authorized dealer... these are reps, regardless of how much you spend on it...

This is not about getting a perfect watch, but about getting what is advetised by the dealer. If the watch was advetised with a concentric circles pattern, it should have it, period.

Are other people seeing this design pattern flaw on this picture. Cause if you are, I'm getting my eyes checked tomorrow.

Well, I do. :)

the obvious face flaw

Maybe it would have been a good idea to start with describing the issue, in order to avoid all this unecessary flamefest and waste of time for everyone.

No I said have the okay to ship yesterday and noticed it last night. Crooked doesn't bother me that's an easy fix an probably cheap if not free of you are getting your watch movement serviced and a WR test, can't imagine it's that difficult, might be. But when you advertise something, in that fashion, you get the specs correct. Lume and alignment I can see being annoying however fixable. You buy a rep you get it serviced, lume is extra and only the exp ii seems to have kick ass lume from the factory. Lume spots are way minuscule 99% of the time. This is a "sunburst" dial that doesn't sunburst unless you got your drunk goggles on. Pretty bad flaw. So now I gotta wait to see it in person, then make sure I'm 100% correct, then contact the TD and get a proper dial. Then wait for delivery. Fortunately I'm getting a date wheel and a servicing so the work aspect is all one lump sum. But the principal alone is astonishing. It's just bad business.

The whole point in having trusted dealers is that if you ever face an issue, it will be fixed. It doesn't mean you won't ever face any issue. Issues happen, and in that case I can see how the person doing QC could miss it. It's big, but it's not the usual flaw you'd be looking for.

It's big but not the usual flaw you'd be looking for is right. I didn't see it, nor do many. And according to Cicero there could be a decptive photo illusion happening. Either way I'm sure the TD will fix it. I'm not expecting apple factory quality control. I mostly intended to warn others who may not know. Then....the debate began ;p

Where is the picture showing this defect? I know i must be missing something. I'm still only seeing the first picture that doesn't show anything but little squares. And that's even on a 21" monitor.

Are other people seeing this design pattern flaw on this picture. Cause if you are, I'm getting my eyes checked tomorrow.

Okay this is clear now. Gentleman, look at the squares below the U and the O in "automatic" and you can see the lines going the wrong direction. This is definitely something that should've been picked up by QC. Its a legit issue and if you guys think this is acceptable flaw, than you have been drinking too much of the TD cool-aid.

I'll have to agree. If a TD posts a picture of their product - the consumer should receive the product that is shown.

Yes, crooked numbers, blemishes, etc should be overlooked considering what this hobby entails. TD's post macro shots of the tapisserie showing off these AP's so obviously it's a highlight. I don't blame the OP for wanting a new dial when his is clearly not right.

Some of the members responses on here are shocking.

Guys, this guy is one of us, he wants the best rep possible for his buck, I am the same as I am sure many others on this forum! Especially if something is advertized and described in a certain way.

He has not slated PT, he is looking for a solution.

In this case OP, best thing to do is contact Angus and get it sorted, if it's been shipped you will be able to send it back.

Lets not start WWIII guys, we all have a passion and the same interest.

And it doesn't matter if he is a VIP or not, he contributes to the community, spends money with TDs and is part of the hobby!

I have to apologize to OP.

i am sorry.

now i can see the pattern.

it sort of annoying.

this is clearly wrong cut from the factory. so its a manufacturing defect.

your TD should replace it for you. I know guys like Ryan, toro or angus will.

good luck with the fix.

my suggestion will be sell it off to the MM to people who didnt care about the flaw, and get a new one with correct circullar, if you cant get it replace by the TD.

Okay having read all of this, as chicken shit as it seems to us, Wiz is right imo. If a TD has an advertizement of A and the price is $450 and you get B which is way off, and at face value this seems to be off, I am in agreement. $450 is not cheap and if you bought A and it turns out to be a blemished "DIAL" then PT needs to sort it out however.
The jury is still out on when that AP arrives and we'll see if it was some strange reflection inversion shit or real blemish.

Also OP...you pretty much knee jerked and started a forest fire with very shaky, vauge and unclear posts of wtf the problem really was. So, make yourself a Post It note to try it different next time please.

Hey Electric, you have to admit though.. My cave drawing comment was still pretty funny. At least I thought so, even if no one else did. :bored:

His original post was so frickin vague that no one knew what the hell he was talking about.

All I read in that OP was, "!!!!&@&!!, I need a new dial, !$&@!!!, so lame, lame, lame, !!$&@&!!."

At least explain it clearly before you get bashed. You couldn't see jack in that first post.

I was making noises.

Also thanks guys again I'm not blaming the TD really and I understand that the factory probably has crappy conditions and all, and they may not of even noticed that they were doing it. And I could have explained more accurately the issue I was just amped. It's a new rep and the flaw even slipped past the best of us, I looked at the pic ten times before I noticed it. If it were a sub we would of all known. AND I have major "rep in the mail" anxiety as is.

It's like getting the first exp ii with a lousy date wheel. I just wanted to let y'all know.

And rant a little.

I'll post pics when I get the watch, and let everyone know the result. For all you soon to be buyers, keep eyes peeled!

Hey guys, while it's nice you're all drinking OPs kool aid, i'd just like to post this pic for reference:

This is Klockis's GEN, I just lowered the resolution of the picture. Rest easy, OP, all is likely well with your watch and this appears to be just an example of groupthink.
