Where I need to be.
Do you know why the hour hand base is so wide compared to gen ?

There is no reason for it to be. My personal guess is an over-estimation/miscalculation of the hand base size when producing the watch.
The structure and geometry of the gen hands is a lot more refined and intricate yes, but by no means impossible to produce when the rep factories are doing such good jobs with other components like the case and bracelet.

:D Maybe to be improved step by step in order to sell more watches !

Factories and dealers both care primarily about profit, and not accuracy of details like enthusiasts. This will always be a rift between the the rep makers and the hobbyist collectors.
The more popular models will typically enjoy newer iterations (V2, V3 etc) with updated features not because its more accurate to gen per se, but its what will help them sell more watches.
There are makers who are more sincere in their efforts, like ZF, who made their first AP diver respectable (first for ZF, and maybe 15th mainstream iteration including the early Noob ones and excluding the assorted lower end makers in the hobby), and their 15400 and 15500 lines are also commendable.

I do not and never owned the gen 15202 but handled a couple at the boutique when one was sent in for service by an owner and when my friend collected his.

To be very honest both times I felt that the watch was underwhelming and not built like the typical modern AP (15500, 26470) I’m used to handling. Yes it’s thin and easy to wear and that’s the best I could say about it. Didn’t like the dial or the outdated movement. Didn’t like the flimsiness of the bracelet as it lacked the typical heft and solidness of stainless steel AP bracelets. Of course that’s just my personal opinion. I understand that it’s a very popular watch with many others. I just do not have chemistry with the watch.
For me, Im pretty much a fan of thinner watches, dont really like stuff thats thicker than 14mm, and love stuff 11mm or thinner. So I would go for the 15202.

But frankly lmao, if AD let me have any thing >36mm in the Royal Oak line Ill get it lmao.

There's many royal oaks that are less than 11mm thick, for example 15400, 15500, 15450, 15300

It does not have to be a 15202 to be thin, although it's probably the thinnest

Bro you’ve named almost all the royal oaks lol.
I think all the non chrono versions are below 11mm. :legend:

Same here. Thin watches are the way for me too due to my thin wrist. 15202 will be my go to watch despite its outdated movement

not to defend a watch I love, but the way you present it is a bit unfair imo....
The movement is outdated in term of fonctionnality and may be accuracy, but still one (if not THE) of the thinest central rotor movement available 50 years after its launch....

It is the same problem for me, small wrist. But the 9015 is 13 years old only ! And I wish Miyota could make a thin 7750 in a few years... With a smartphone, there is no need to have COSC chronometers ;)

not sure what you mean by small wrist, but the 15202 is not really recommended for small wrist it is a "large" watch (lug to lug).

17 cm. I tried a 15400, it was too large.

Can we have figures concerning the reliability of this movement ?
