Hi pompompurin, are your hands gen ? I struggle to find after market one with a good second hand.

Here is a picture of mine

Hello,

Yea, my hands are gen. I generally have OCD with poor / aftermarket Datejust hands lol.

Your dial is very nice and it is the uncommon/rare type. Are you planning to turn it into a two-tone one day?

Thanks ! I think I have that OCD too.

i love these no serif Roman dial. I think the huge variety of datejust make it one of the most I retesting Rolex build .

no two tone for now and I wanted to try a gold indexes/hands combo like this oysterquartz I saw lately:

unfortunately my dial was in a bad condition (smudge/mild, coating disappearing)when I got it. I tried my best to restore with a mix of semigloss and matte Tamika spray varnish. It’s way better now but not perfect, logo and rail are a bit faint plus a few surface bump so I’m not sure to keep it that way.

I have this Korean 16200 case and it is amazing. No more headaches from reshaping Raffles Datejust cases, and no more elevated bronchitis risk from dremel-ing the hell out of the Raffles Datejust caseback in order to shoehorn a vr3135 inside.

So far, i can confirm the following parts fit:
1. VR3135 (although I think it is best that you use 3135 gen-spec case screws. The typical ETA case screws didn't fit, for me at least.
2. Gen 603/604/ ARF 604 crown on the stock case tube
3. Gen crystal
4. Gen bezel

Raffles Datejust caseback does not fit the Korean 16200 case and vice-versa.

Where are you sourcing these from? Looks absolutely amazing!

Hey guys, just found out that the guy making these is finally making a version with lug holes tho they seem to be in a prototype stage. But hey that means making a 16014 plexi glass version just became a whole lot easier.

Thanks pal. It shows me 3 pieces left and I see the lugholes, is this the new version?

Yes, but according to him those are defective units. The lug holes aren't perfect, check the pictures. So he's selling them at a discount. If I were you, I'd wait for a new batch

I spoke with the guy and there might be a 16610 case available in the future. But this will take some more time to get this project started. I will not expect those in the near future.

They will make the current Case with lug holes first, something very hard to find second and possibly then a 16610 case which are even closer to the Real deal than the TC Cases ever were (the statement is not from me but from the guys who do the construction of the cases).

I hope to he gets to perfect the lug holes case soon. My DJ currently is a period mismatch because I settled for the no holes case. :(

I’m sure the Lug holes will be perfectly drilled when he produces a batch with holes. The ones are in the bay now are manually drilled.

No holes 5 digits appeared mid nineties so a tritium dial would be period correct. The only way to be period uncorrect with a no hole would be to mount a 6 digit dial, but for example a 16014 and a 16234 can share the same (tritium) dial

I am thinking to go for one of those builds.
Which parts would you guys suggest me to get in order to be period-appropriate?

e.g. jubilee reference, bezel reference, crystal etc.
