Here is a diagram and pictogram demonstrating the construction of a submariner
Thanks! This is actually a great analysis and exactly what I was looking for. How did you find this? I googled rolex teardown and rolex deconstruction, but it didn't give me results like thisHere is a diagram and pictogram demonstrating the construction of a submariner
You don’t have a boss here D. Unfortunately.im trying Boss
Had it in my photo storage for a few years....no ideas where I originally got it.Thanks! This is actually a great analysis and exactly what I was looking for. How did you find this? I googled rolex teardown and rolex deconstruction, but it didn't give me results like this
We were helping!!! He asked a question, we answered it!!!Guys, remember this is the flame-free zone. Lets play nice. Thank you fellas.
We need to keep this area safe especially for the new ones.
I considered that hideous prospect and decided against it. It would be a travesty.Next you'll be telling me you want your BK Whopper oven baked!!!
This is actually done kinda on GMF daydate tungsten variants to keep the engraving quality while having a tungsten case.No flame zone that this is, how challenging would it be to create a thin strip of metal or something which looks like it, and engrave or otherwise make the engraving look alike marks on it while flat, put it around a cylinder mandrel with the text facing inwards, weld it or seal it shut in a space between the text, and use it as a rehaut overlay in a manner not dissimilar to a DWO?

I was actually thinking this as a solution to my problem, however this would raise 2 more issues:No flame zone that this is, how challenging would it be to create a thin strip of metal or something which looks like it, and engrave or otherwise make the engraving look alike marks on it while flat, put it around a cylinder mandrel with the text facing inwards, weld it or seal it shut in a space between the text, and use it as a rehaut overlay in a manner not dissimilar to a DWO?
Why are you so pain-in-the-s to redo a rehaut or getting a gen one? AFAIK, they are never that terrible.I was actually thinking this as a solution to my problem, however this would raise 2 more issues:
1. If you do that, the rehaut would have to be smaller than usual
2. Instead, if you sand out the current rehaut, you could probably weld it down over the sanded out one, but i don't know how stable that would be
but I guess its feasible

I’d love to know how to do that via a method other than what I suggested earlier in this thread… I really want to engrave something dumb on a rehaut or rehaut overlay. This is actually done kinda on GMF daydate tungsten variants to keep the engraving quality while having a tungsten case.
A metal plated ring is engraved per the rehaut and slotted into the case.
Do note that it is not gen spec at all whatsoever.
Not until you mention. Now I can't help but imagine how OP wants a gen Vorhaut or redo his...It's not really related to this thread, yet I can't keep it to myself anymore: I have to ask my fellow German-speakers on here...
Aren't you also quite irritated by the term "Rehaut"?
The opposite of "Re" (Rück) in German is "Vor".
Wouldn't the opposite of "Rehaut" be "Vor..."?
Uhh, huh huh... Uhhh, huh huh huh
