Mine just arrived. So mad I cut the damn strap too short. Just emailed trusty to order a new strap.

My initial thoughts, the case, dial, hands, and strap are all excellent quality. The clasp is complete junk though. The clasp on my ZF 5167 is far superior. I may order a ZF clasp if my TD can get one.

really? could you explain why it does that? kind of curious

It’s fairly simple both the Gen and rep has a movement without hacking seconds, witch basically means, the movement won’t stop, when you pull the crown to the end position, like say a Rolex 3135 movement.

So the second hand will continue to move while you are setting time. You can however “hold” the second hand, by turning the crown, ever so slightly backwards and hold it.

Im not 100% sure on the Aquanaut, but the 5711 had the movement updated in 2019 so that it now features hacking seconds

Looks like the marker to hand lume match is much better on the blue. Wonder if we can get the new hands to fix the mismatch on the black dial

My wrist is 7” long so it is cut just slightly small at maybe 6.95”. It is cut evenly on both sides. I would be interested in selling it now, if you’re interested please send me a PM for us to discuss and I can then do a reserved sale for you according to the rules if you like.

The early caliber 324 movements are non hacking. Meaning the balance wheel of the watch is still moving as you adjust the time, meaning the train wheels and escapement are still in motion. Adjusting the time clockwise in this case as Legend mentioned earlier is the natural movement for the train wheel and causes no problem. But when you go counter clockwise. You're essentially causing the movement to jam up and stop moving in it's natural direction forcefully, (think throwing your car into reverse before you've come to a stop) giving you that jittering seconds hand. Once or twice is not going to kill your watch, but you're really putting unnecessary strain on the movement by doing so.

Damn… It is a gorgeous watch.
But looks like it‘s too large for my average wrist :(
Might go with the 5167 instead.

I`m sorry to tell you that using the white lume hands of the 5168 for the 5167 will not change the lume mismatch of hands and markers. The mismatch is caused by using white lume hands and greenish lume markers on the 5167.
It would lead to the same.

The hands on that blue dial look green like the markers

I have the blue one 5168 and the hands (and markers wich match perfectly to each other imo) are more whitetish than the greenish lume markers on the 5167. the hands of the 5168 will not match the color of the greenish markers of the 5167.

Hey guys I broke the stem on my 324 cal movement. Does anybody know where I can get a replacement or if there’s any other stems that I could replace it with?

can we see which section snapped on your stem? load a picture of the crown/stem so we can get some visual on the situation.
you may be able to fix with a stem extender. measure the thread and check if its 0.9mm (tap-9) or 1.2mm (tap-12).

ask your favourite TD first. watch2parts have patek 324 stems but you run the risk of buying a part that may not fit

I did the same and found a fix: I super-glued one extra one of strap to one side and it worked! Super glue saved my ass. Agree clasp is rubbish
