3K Aquanaut review

Apparently the 2007 5167 does not have Swiss Made and that’s what 3K based their replica on. It appears that Sotheby’s has one on auction right now and pictures support that.

Didn't bother me at first but now the white hands and greenish hour markers are becoming an eye sore.

Will do mate. From my studies the pre 2009 Aquanauts have yellowish hands kinda like the first batch of 3K v1s. I might go with that. Cheers!

On a different note. Changed the strap to an aftermarket one so now it looks nice with the correct ghost SEL.


Before : No ghost solid end link


After : Very pronounce ghost solid end link

Interesting. First I've heard about this. What size is your wrist? Maybe not there if have bigger wrists? Mine should be delivered Friday. Been a long wait. Guess I'll find out.

I’ve always been curious about the date change. Does it snap at midnight? I’m not sure how it works on a gen tbh.

I got it from the same TD that delivered the watch. Have no idea what factory and where she got it from. I don’t think it’s a ZF strap but the shape n quality is on par with it.

Nope. It doesn’t snap. It slowly starts to move a couple of minutes before midnight and completes the date change a couple of minutes after. Dunno bout the gen either.
