I'm curious as well but looking at the pictures, the plating seems to be wearing off

Well the plating is not that bad.
The bad part is, that one part of the clasp is a little loose. I‘m mean it‘s close and safe but if you wear it you see that there is one part not really closed. Is hard to describe!

In this shot you can clearly spot it.

Just looks like a well used/worn gen clasp, that’s been polished.

I’d be more concerned about the green hour markers and the mismatched white hands.

Go one step at a time, even if it takes a lot of time. If you cut one step too many, there's no going back

After reading the review, then this whole thread where the version 2 now exists, I'm not quite sure if now the version 2 is worse than the first. ​​​​​​. I look at images of the gen and the indices are white, not greenish like I see with the newest iteration of this watch. Again, I'm just looking at pictures. I suppose I need to find a gen vs rep side by side video.. Or pictures....

I think the dial lume is very close. I had planned to swap out dial, hands and DW I bought the dial and hands, still looking for a dw. After comparing them side to side I'm reconsidering swapping the dial. The 3KF dial is really good. The hands and DW for sure could use some work.

I feel like if I want the lume whiter on the rep dial it would be an easy job to replace it.

I'd agree with that. I was specifically responding to Copter guy who said, "I look at images of the gen and the indices are white, not greenish like I see with the newest iteration of this watch."

Thanks for the input. I ended up ordering one anyway since I'm rather blind to differences others notice quickly on any watch. I just needed a patek in my collection finally. One that wasn't too obviously flawed.

J Belfort Nice watch and great images, thanks for sharing. Was thinking about getting one but I don't trust the movement and ordered a ZF. Has anyone tried ordering a separate dial from 3KF?

I will have a spare 3KF dial available in the next week or so. Having gen dial fit at the moment

Just to share a couple of pictures of the V2 3KF i received a couple of weeks ago. So far everything is working fine and im really satisfied. In hard sunlight and with full charged lume you see more the difference of the white hands compared to the dial. i would still like to know if the hands are right for this PRE2009 Version or they should have the same lume as the dial....

Quick update to franken build - ZF case takes 324 cal movement with 3KF case back measuring to 8.5mm. I know some members were also not happy with the 3KF bezel thickness so hope this helps, the ZF case doesn’t need any modding but the crowns may need switching I believe. Can’t wait to get the finished piece from Ado, he’s the best!
