Received this today... not a fan of the gummy strap, but I like this NATO.

Just got this for my dad, actually really nice in white. Also hides the bezel a bit better.

Comparison of 39.5mm vs 42mm:
Za7n51.jpg

Legibility of the 42mm is definitely better than the glossy dial of the 39.5mm. Cheers!

Thank you for the post. Your photos show the difference between the 39.5mm bezel and the 42mm bezel.

Cheers

Just found this, its looking perfect for my girlish wrist!
Does anyone know the weight or could weigh it please?
(Because of comfort not genlikeness)
Thx!

according to the pics someone posted before, there's a huge difference in terms of bezel quality between the 39.5 and the 42.
i do prefer a 39mm like watch because of my small wrist but on the 39.5 there are several big tells, not only the bezel but also the orange which looks off.

Do these have 19mm lugs?

I was really hoping this would be close to a super rep release... 42mm looks okay on my wrist but 39.5mm would look a lot better

The 39.5 is just like the old noob 42 “liquid metal” bezel. The numerals aren’t engraved, just silver. Looks nothing like gen. The orange on the gen pops right out. This is way off. See the gen pics I posted early in this thread. The 43.5 looks way better, different bezel construction, engraved with silver laquer. No idea why vsf decided to make a different bezel for the smaller size.

It’s definitely not a super rep. I owned the gen and honestly couldn’t stand looking at the tells. Real nice watch though besides the orange and bezel. It wears far better than the 42.

Got mine home yesterday and I'm very pleased. It's refreshing to see a divers watch on my wrist that isn't a black submariner from Xx, Xxx or Xxxx factory with their version X or Xx.

This is a fine piece, with a good size for my 16,5 cm wrist. Feels solid. Yes, the orange should be more satuated and the bezel numbers could have been made more genlike but that doesn't bother me as I take it for rep.

Omega also has changed colors on the dial from orange to red to orange again in different saturated colors during the years. This may not be a "super-rep" but don't expect normal people keep up with color adjustments on a "Seamaster"-text on the dial or bring a magnifier to see your bezel numbers, lol. This is very well made.

Note that some bracelet screws was VERY tight and even with a proper tool and some exprience I had some trouble unscrewing. The screw hole on the head are thin and shallow as well (maybe gens are as well).

I tried when I bought it, no reply from a very trusted modder/seller. I figured he couldn’t get it and parted with it instead. It’s really a beautiful rep otherwise, but that liquid metal bezel is a huge part of that watch

i totally agree with you.
I'll see if there is some modder able to provide an answer before I buy the watch ;)

Looks like I’ll stick with the 42 for now- shame, the 39.5 would be a perfect fit and the end links look much better.

Hi Folks,

Last week. I've got mine 39.5mm PO from ThOone. So let me share my impressions.
- In terms of the overall look, this is the best rep I've seen so far. Mainly because of the extremely good quality of the crystal that I have never seen yet. I thought that VSF diver was sort of the best but this one is an order of magnitude better. Just because of that, it gives a feeling of a gen on your wrist.
- I love the small size on my wrist. I have 45 mm, which I find a bit large for my wrist, but still, it has good proportions. I also had 42 mm one, but that one with it's 16 mm thickness (I had MK) looks like a thick piece of crap. At least to my taste. So, I had to sell it. Only for this reason, I disagree that 42 mm version is superior to the 39.5 mm one.
- To my opinion, the bezel, the pearl, and the dial are made flawless. For instance, I was first considering buying LMPO, which has very positive reviews here on RWI. But then, when I saw the QC pictures, I have realized that the print on the bezel is never ever properly centered, and finding a perfect one is a mission impossible. The dial of this one is 100% accurate, at least my one. The pearl has a perfect centering in the triangle, which is often not the case for many reps. I also disagree that the bezel is lighting sensitive and that numerals sink under certain light conditions. I cannot confirm that.

It does have cons, of course as any rep. What I have found weak in this one is:
- Lume. My one has almost none if I compare it to VF Diver, for instance. Not nice, but I can live with that.
- The finishing if the case, of the bezel grips and of the bracelet is a bit rough. Even the Omega logo feels sharp on the buckle if you touch it. When you unscrew links, the finishing of not visible areas is even worse. This will solve on it's own over time, so I don't bother at all. But what I find good is that the bracelet feels more solid than one of VSF diver, for instance. Looks like indeed a better steel grade was used here.
- The side of the links of the bracelet is not polished but brushed. Not sure if is the same for the gen or not. And actually, I find the brushed side looking nicer than the polished one.

To summarize, I used to have few various Omega reps over time from VSF, V6F, MK, MKS, JHF and BP and I really find this one the best so far. Overall, JHF and BP are just total crap. V6F and MK are not great, not terrible. MK is good. And VSF is the best.
