Unfortunately update on my end, both the 'HE' valve and the screw down crown have stripped on my watch. Mine gets adjusted about once a week since I'm wearing other watches in rotation, but just a heads up for everyone here. The threads on the case seems like it is made of a softer metal and easily stripped. Sad end to an otherwise perfect watch for me.

Hi Folks,

Last week. I've got mine 39.5mm PO from ThOone. So let me share my impressions.
- In terms of the overall look, this is the best rep I've seen so far. Mainly because of the extremely good quality of the crystal that I have never seen yet. I thought that VSF diver was sort of the best but this one is an order of magnitude better. Just because of that, it gives a feeling of a gen on your wrist.
- I love the small size on my wrist. I have 45 mm, which I find a bit large for my wrist, but still, it has good proportions. I also had 42 mm one, but that one with it's 16 mm thickness (I had MK) looks like a thick piece of crap. At least to my taste. So, I had to sell it. Only for this reason, I disagree that 42 mm version is superior to the 39.5 mm one.
- To my opinion, the bezel, the pearl, and the dial are made flawless. For instance, I was first considering buying LMPO, which has very positive reviews here on RWI. But then, when I saw the QC pictures, I have realized that the print on the bezel is never ever properly centered, and finding a perfect one is a mission impossible. The dial of this one is 100% accurate, at least my one. The pearl has a perfect centering in the triangle, which is often not the case for many reps. I also disagree that the bezel is lighting sensitive and that numerals sink under certain light conditions. I cannot confirm that.

It does have cons, of course as any rep. What I have found weak in this one is:
- Lume. My one has almost none if I compare it to VF Diver, for instance. Not nice, but I can live with that.
- The finishing if the case, of the bezel grips and of the bracelet is a bit rough. Even the Omega logo feels sharp on the buckle if you touch it. When you unscrew links, the finishing of not visible areas is even worse. This will solve on it's own over time, so I don't bother at all. But what I find good is that the bracelet feels more solid than one of VSF diver, for instance. Looks like indeed a better steel grade was used here.
- The side of the links of the bracelet is not polished but brushed. Not sure if is the same for the gen or not. And actually, I find the brushed side looking nicer than the polished one.

To summarize, I used to have few various Omega reps over time from VSF, V6F, MK, MKS, JHF and BP and I really find this one the best so far. Overall, JHF and BP are just total crap. V6F and MK are not great, not terrible. MK is good. And VSF is the best.

I am confused, are you reviewing the VSF LMPO 39.5? At times it sounds like your saying you thought the VSF was the best until you found this one you’re reviewing?

Sorry to hear about that. My 39,5 VSF has still working threads. But how did the threads on the HE-crown got bad? Did you use it regulary? I have only screwed it out once to see how it looks then screwed ut back for good since you have no use for it!?

Hey, sorry for the confusion. Of course, I am reviewing Planet Ocean VSF 39.5 mm. I was comparing it to other replicas that have a good reputation on this forum. LMPO was often referred to as one of the best reps that leave a feeling of a gen. Having that read, I have first ordered it from TheOneWatches, but after seeing the QC pictures I have realized that dial production flaws are far beyond what I can accept. I have then checked many other pictures of LMPO and found none of them to be perfect. So, I have cancelled LMPO and ordered PO 39.5mm. The reviews of this model were so-so, but I really wanted a small PO in the first place. But after receiving it, I have found out that it is a much better watch compared to the impression I had after reading few threads on RWI.

Below are the pictures of rejected LMPO and my new PO

So they’re both LMPO, but as far as the VSF 39.5, I owned one of these and owned the gen before it. The bezel is way off, not even close and the tint of orange in the text is dull and doesn’t match the second hand. Otherwise it’s pretty nice but I couldn’t live with those flaws. The orange really pops on the gen 39.5

Maybe you are right. I have not yet seen 39.5 mm gen live. However, when I look at pictures at Omega forums, what I see looks pretty much alike. For instance, look at this example

They are very much alike. When you compare with gen you will always find flaws. The bezel numbers and dull orange color are the biggest flaws and that's not very much. It's a great rep and I wear mine with pride.

I’m not saying it’s not a great rep because it is, the markers, case finishing and even lume are great. This hobby is all about what you can live with, everyone is different. I never really understood why everyone gets to finicky about the lugs on ARF subs but that’s just my opinion.

So guys after all these months we still don't have a rep vs gen picture side by side? I was too curious to see the differences under the same light condition

Unfortunately I sold mine long ago and bought the rep after. Posted some pics of my gen in the beginning of this thread. Best I can do

you know mate I was waiting this release since years ago, and when it came out I was buying it immediately then after reading your comments about the bezel and the orange colour I sticked with my VSF gmt black/white which in my opinion is much closer to gen.

But anyway I was still curious to see if the difference is still that huge. 39.5mm is the perfect size for my wrist!

Ya it’s a great size, if they had done the bezel like the vsf 43.5 or your gmt it would be so much better but they didn’t for some reason.

I want the 39.5mm (white) but was concerned about the bezel. However I can't see any difference? Has anyone got a close up with what's different please?

So I actually bought them both, white for my dad. I have to say the white version is way better. I think it hides the flaws far better and if I remember the font on the dial isn’t orange.
