this is all f#$*ed up. i wanted the 005 but now......??? goddamnit they don't make this easy.... the 360 and that sweet lefty, what else is in the pipe? i'm waiting till may......and thanks for the heads up
It is a special edition watch (I believe 300 made), to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Panerai fan-site paneristi.com. A big "thank you" from Panerai to its loyal followers. I think it was only available to paneristi.com members meeting certain criteria (forgot the criteria). I also believe it was only sold through paneristi.com. Others here will be able to add further info about the 360. I seem to recall it was sold for something like $5,000.

Sorry Hooligan, I read your post too quickly and thought you wanted someone to tell you what the 360 is (which is obviously not the case as you are very knowledgeable pam person). You were asking the other poster if he realized what the 360 is. My bad. :facepalm:

I am aware of the reason it was made but don't see why people cherish it's integrity more than any other limited edition panerai. If it's because it's cause is close to your heart then the flip side is think about all other gen pam owners who feel the same about there watch being repped. I know it's wrong to buy a rep really but I just love watches and the better they get the more wrong it feels because without great gens we don't have great reps. I also fear that as the chinese evolve so will there manufacturing and ability to copy products and eventually kill the gen Market, but we need the gen manufactures to invent and develop the beautiful pieces they do.
I for one think they shouldn't rep the 360 either. First of all its rare so a true panerai fan will recognise the model from a mile away, and you'll have some explaining to do

Maybe I am just a rep whore but I definitely want the PVD lefty (026k) and consider the 360 a nice to have just for kicks.

Exactly my point. This watch was made specifically to recognize the fans of the brand, which all of us are. A way of saying "thank you" to the customer base for supporting and caring about the brand.
That's why I'm sad to see it repped. On the other hand, I own a gen PAM000 and it doesn't bother me at all that it has been replicated. The sentiment behind the model is what makes it a deal breaker for me.

you should have seen how much kindergarten risti went over this watch when some got it and some didn't. I think the 360 has already caused plenty of trouble, better just forget it and have a 111 dlc'ed
basically one could have any 44mm luminor of his own choice dlc'ed and put it on a tan strap, would be much cooler imo! the chance of owning a gen 360 is really thin anyway, so why not just go for the modded gen look?
