HBB Reliability?

Hey guys, I've got an HBB coming next week (hopefully) that was from one of the first batches w/ the rose gold bezel. I got a really low price on it because the second hand just started to reset to 2 instead of 12. I've been reading up on it in anticipation of getting it, but I was just wondering what has been your experiences with its reliability for those of you who have had it a while now? It came out about a year or so ago didn't it? Also, if something breaks down, has it been pretty fixable or is it just fubard? Is the second hand resetting to 2 the beginning of a slippery slope of breakdown ending in a beautiful paper weight? Thanks guys.

second hand has slipped, it can be reset

hi beat 7750 so far so good, seems pretty reliable.. the old 7750 low beat was problematic

sounds like you got a nice watch

Did the earlier ones use the slow beat? I guess I'll have to give it a listen when it gets here :)

I think it's a 28.8 for this version...the low bit was with the HBB Lite only ..

How do you reset it? My HBB's hand at the 6:00 position is doing the same thing.

Believe you have to glue the chrono counter hand to the post.
Search resetiing chrono hands or hands slipping, not resetting to 0, etc., someone did a great picturial on how to exactly do this with close up shots and all.
Do some looking here and at RWG and you will find it.

Definitely a known problem with 7750's.
Most watch repair guys can fix this as it can happen on Gen's too.

Cheers,
M
