How much would these cost..?
Would you please provide a general (rough estimate) of the building cost breakdown?

I am planning to build something similar too,,

Thanks! =)
Dennis
This watch was assembled using the unused JF16610 case.

If I were to assemble a new one, I would use an Alibaba Sirian case.
Sirian 16610 case, $200.
Ali Express VS3135, $70
DW from ebayWSO,$50
Raffles 93150 bracelet, $40
Raffles 3135 hands, $18
Dial and bezel m2m, $200

Total $578

I actually put this together using leftover parts, including a JF case I didn't use, a JKF bracelet ARF hands, etc.

Thank you very much.
I am glad to receive a compliment from a wonderful watch owner like you.
I am an amateur watchmaker with no watchmaking skills and am still learning.

I plan to build a 1680 next based on the threads of the senior members of RWI.

I am a 4 digital guy so I am accustom to having to have cases modded so I was wondering what casework, if any, the Sirian case required? Did you use the stock tube and crown?

I am not familiar with 16800 so if I were to do it personally the sillan case is 16610 so the rehout height and lug length is different than 16800.
Also, there are no holes in the lugs.
In my case, I only drilled holes for the lugs because I do not know the exact shape of 16800.
If you are a good and knowledgeable machinist, I think you can modify the lugs, CG, and rehout height.
Tubes and crowns are standard for the SILLAN case.

Great thread. I’m building one very similar to @trash3939. He and I have had back and forth convos about them.

Got Mochacha dial, Alibaba hands, Gen insert, vr3135. Working on case and bracelet. Silian case can’t be purchased in singles anymore for a reasonable price so I’m gonna grab 2 soon for additional projects.

In the case of the Sillan case, it would be good if a joint representative could purchase the property if there is a group of interested buyers.

I'm in for a group buy if I can get one with drilled lugs (y)

I have been going down this rabbithole and it appears that the 16800 and 16610 have different heights of rehauts and minor variations in the case shape. Looking at google images for both I cant tell the difference. Was this universal across these models or did it vary with the different versions of the 16610 case (lug holes, plain rehaut/no lug holes, engraved rehaut)?

Also are there any aftermarket dials with markers that are gen-like/close to gen-like. Also the same for their mounting and materials? I believe they are white gold plated. I have a 16610 dial that has a damaged 6 oclock marker that I could use if I could find a replacement.

Out of curiosity, what part of the rehaut is different? Does one protrude higher from the top of the case, or is the thickness of the top of the case different (causing a deeper or shallower dial fitment)?

I'm curious because if it's just the part protruding from the case, wouldn't thinning it and/or changing the crystal gasket fix the height issue? I'm guessing it's the inner

Sillan cases do not have lug holes.
In my case, I drilled the holes myself, but if you are unable to do so, you will need to ask someone who can drill the holes.
Oh I know, just have seen you do it in the past and was hopeful you might offer :ROFLMAO:

I’m wondering the same thing because it must be very subtle. Take a look here.

It depends on how far you want accuracy.
The 16800 is originally a 3035 movement, which is different from the 3135 case of the 16610.
I'm a generalist, so I can tolerate minor differences.

Agreed, I’m getting it as close as I can within reason. Aspects can always be upgraded over time too.

As shown above, regular comparison photos show nothing. Any chance someone has raw photos of them next to each other?

Most of my intuition says it's the same case. On that note, why rule out an old BP 16610? The bezel isn't genuine specifications, but it's a nice watch.
