Smh, those are for flat plates of steel. The machining process for 904l is different which is why every hardness scale for 904l has a difference on it because of the changing properties when worked on.

Care to prove and cite a source how 904L from Rolex is somehow different to "flat plates of steel 904L"? And why they have different properties yet still hold the same grade of steel?
Maybe you should ask your cousin selling luxury watches to professional wreckage divers who go deep sea diving with outdated gear about it?
