114300 BP 3132 Vs JF 3132 Side by side

^^ hard to tell mate, it does look good indeed, but would like to see it next to gen. Pretty sure the green hour dots are off.
But still, it looks damn good in blue.

thanks for the comprehensive review timnic, definitely makes my decision for a 114300 more interesting (i was so set on getting a JF) until the whole movement servicing talk.

i do wonder, how noticeable is the differences in the rehaut? close-up photos and it's obvious JF has the edge, but is it that noticeable in a practical setting (say like 3 inches from your eyes)?

I think my photo of the BP Rehaut engraving was a little unfair. Lots of spurious light bouncing around. Also it is a lot easier to photograph a woky Rehaute. The Rahaute on the JF is more visible to the eye than the BP and the gen, so it is just as well they got the font right

On the wrist side by side you can see that the smaller font of the JF is more correct. few people would know that Rolex seem to have used a completely different font size for this watch. However from a few inches both look fine, but it has to be said the JF is better in this respect

Here is a better photo og the BP rehaut engraving, which I think is more representative.

anyways, which TD did you purchase the BP/JF from (if you don't mind me asking)? seems like you had a positive experience so i might follow suit.

Because I started buying from him before I was a member here and the service I get is absolutely perfect. I have only ever rejected one watch on QC and that is because he misunderstood the order and it was the wrong watch.
The last watch I bought I got QC Photos in 48 hours and had the watch in 6 days from order. If I am in China he will deliver to my China office for me. They are smart, flexible, and straight as an arrow.

Hey Merowinger if you match it side by side as a photo shot with a Gen its very hard to spot the diff
The Hue on the BP looks same as Gen.
Remembering that in the Rep world very close can also be Gen & may require side by side to really know the diff ?
as per the rehaut
I think unless your showing it to a Rolex Proffessor who would really know what size it should be ?
and as you say the Dial is the most important.

Depends what colour shirt I have on. Too close to call

Prefer the bezel and rehaute engraving on the JF

Prefer the Band , Clasp Crown and Dial on the BP
