ABP have been one of the best custom strap makers for a long time.

You said the BP and JF have a significantly different feel when it comes to bracelet, yet the difference is weight is just 4 grams. How different is the quality in your opinion? Wondering as someone who got the jf and finds the bracelet little flimsy and light. But if it's rly 4g I don't get it.

I have the JF and a gen ..there is a difference between the bracelets but it is very marginal. Just by cleaning and oiling the JF (I use a wax) the difference is even smaller.
The look is almost exact the same.

The clasp looks almost the same, on the wrist you don't see the difference. I would not stress about the bracelet ;-), the clasp is closing firmly but makes a little 'clicking' noise when tapping on it when it's closed, the gen also has this noise but less. I have put a small piece of foam tape inside the clasp and this is perfect now! The tape is not visible and works perfect.
I have a gen oyster but another model but with the same bracelet..
I would take some pictures but the JF is out for service now, it will be back in two weeks...

Watch (JF) is now with watchmaker. Service was really needed, almost no oil in the watch and a lot of small dirt..a lot of parts not polished and rough.View attachment 98893

Super old thread I know, but is this info still relevant? I see the ARF (JF) recommended over the BP often, but this pushes me toward the BP with a bezel swap.
