“Deep” crystals for Rolex - a pictorial

I’m close to pulling the trigger on my first CF rep, their recently released 41mm OP.

CTime quoted $108 to fit and install a deep Xtal.
With it being my first CF piece and also first potential mod (the deep Xtal), is there anything I should be aware of.

My main concern is that the moderation comprises other areas of the watch.
All support and opinions are welcome…!

@cyprusdaedalus Curious if the 2.30mm gasket fixed the issue? I am currently having the same problem.

On dj definitely black/darker dials. Daytona it's white dial.

There’s no need to replace any BTF Daytona crystal regardless of dial color unless you go gen crystal which is a step backwards in clarity but gen is gen.

For cf. Btf is solid and only option for upgrade is gen.

I just had a deep crystal installed on one of my watches and it wasn’t as thick as the reps crystal it replaced. However it does look good and it doesn’t stick up above the bezel so much like reps have a tendency to do.

If you care about enjoyment of the watch and beauty - DEEP

If you want most "gen" like - BTF

Clean - acceptable and close to gen but foggy and reflective

I dont know where people spout this from.

It is obvious that BTF does not use Deep. It only has 1xAR not 2xAR.

The ghost is BTF. The Panda is Deep on Clean.
