One change I am doing to these rubberclads is changing the cyclop. The shinny cyclops draws attention to the position of the date window. With a 2ar cyclops, that would be less obvious.

Where I need to be.

You may be interested to know that the older series rubberclads use the 2326/2840 movements and the cyclop is very reflective as well and the date font is also different from the H series one showed by flying tommy.
Below is an example.

Yes sir, I saw a few of them. I am just changing it on the rep because I feel it draws attention to the date window being to far to right.
Not sure how it will look with the 2ar cyclops, but I am going to try it on one of these 2 that I bought.

Guys, and what about this OffShore rubber strap? I own a gen Oysterflex, a RubberB and EverestBand too and rubber is of excellent quality. Is this AP rubber strap good too? Or does it feel cheap?

I also feel like everything I look at the watch to check the time, my eyes are drawn to the shinny cyclops. It probably is just me. I also feel like the crystal is pretty clear in this one, so maybe it just makes cyclops stick out more. I am going to have one of these 2 rubberclads thinned.
The other is for a Franken project, I want to put my noob based white themes into a JF case. Not sure if different noob ROO cases used different plots, but mine uses those different plots and I want to put it on a SS bracelet, but JF SS bracelet doesn't seem to work on that case.

Seems pretty good to me. But I usually put the 24mm diver strap on my AP reps.

For me the biggest differences from Rep to Franken:

- sure Datewheel and Date position
- but more visible the shiny/glossy Dial with a nice finish from the Chrono Sub Dials
Therefore I couldn’t live with the Rep Dial it’s more mate and also the Sub Dials completely different
- Tachy print

JF Rubber is absolut ok, but for me it’s perfect with a black on black Hornback.

I just got my rubber clad and I’m really really glad I chose it because it's a wonderful watch, exactly as I dreamed of it! The construction is perfect, the watch is solid and perfectly realized. On the wrist it is impressive and extremely sporty, and the bezel is also perfect. However, today I will take it to my watchmaker because the movement seems a little delicate and it is losing about 50 seconds a day. Furthermore, even if the chronograph works perfectly, the reset button is a bit harsh and sometimes it doesn't work. However it is such a beautiful watch that I would wear it even if it was broken! :)

In the worst case I could buy a gen movement for $4,000

Theoretically you can. But also set aside another $1500 or so for the case work to accommodate gen movement, and of course you will need a gen dial and gen datewheel.
Nothing inhibiting if you decide to get the gen movement, but be aware that it is not a plug and play for the gen movement and this stock rep watch.

Thanks for your explanation legend, I admit I thought it was easier! :)

And you should shave that caseback.. its BIG and verry top heavy. I hade the same problem. But its an easy fix. If you live in eu you can send the caseback to slaughter. It cost 80euro to fix it and the watch is totaly different in feeling. Totaly worth it if you ask me :)

Can you post a picture of the caseback from the back?
