Wazzup everybody,

as you notice it I am a new guy, and I have been reading on the forum for some days now, just to get clear about the whole rep universe and the cons & pros. I have come this far to decide my next watch, but I am a bit confused about which movement is the best, because of the new vs old model and the updates which dont stop. I have picked some AP ROO from Puretime and Toro, because of the big discount they have right now, and I see this opportunity perfect for my first buy.

My question is which watch do you recommend for me?
- I will not use the watch everyday, so the big power reserve is not necessary
- +/- 8-30 seconds pr. day doesnt matter
- All I want is a watch, which mechanism got a good quality and dont dies after 6-12 months.
- Will I have the same problem with the rubberstrap like my old quality AP? - http://forum.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php/254680-Wazzup-Everybody!!!
- Maybe there are some difference between the Puretime and Toro model, which I haven't see, because Im a n00b, but far as I know they are the same -.-
- I want the lume - Glow thing, and cant see the CP from Puretime has it?

ROO CP V5

ROO Safari noob factory - As I understood, these are the same watch, but in one of them you can choose different themes and strap?

ROO Black
http://www.torobravo2015.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=18_50&product_id=590

I hope that some of you guys can help me. Just tried to make it simple as possible.

PS.
From the beginners guide:

Q: Great! Anything I should know about the sec@12 movement?
A: Old versions is pretty well know to have a jerky second hand due to the fact that the factory didn´t do a proper job with the extra gear needed to get the sec@12 look, 7750 movements doesn´t support sec@12 native due to it´s construction unless you mod it properly.
So sooner then later it will cause trouble for most owners.
New versions the dealers say is fixed, lots of people say it´s not fixed keep that in mind.

Something I have to worry about?

If you're new and looking for an AP to dive in with, I honestly wouldn't recommend anything with a 7750. A lot of members describe them as ticking time bombs and they almost invariably need multiple services within most ownerships.

To answer some of your more specific questions;

- All TD's source their watches from the same places, all TD's have access to all the same models (except for very rare exclusivity situations). So the watches you listed on multiple sites are mainly the same watch I.E. the Chronopassions you posted are both the V5 CP from Noob, The Safaris you posted are both from Noob as well

- You're right that this sale is a great opportunity to dive in but be warned, you're very late to the party, so most if not all of the models will be sold out!

- Looking at your old post, the strap issue is just caused by how big APs are relative to your wrist, and how tightly fitted the strap is to the case of the watch. You will likely find this gap occurs with most if not all AP reps you purchase.

If you like the AP ROO though, and going off what you have as examples, give some strong consideration to the Divers (SS, FC, and Ceramic). They have the size and look, without the risk/annoyance of the 7750. You can pop a double AR crystal in one and give it a movement service and it will look insane and last you a virtual lifetime in rep terms.

Thank you very much for your answer. I really appreciate that. But can you be more specific with the models you mean? Maybe some examples? I know you mean stainless Steel model, But which one? Sorry for the inunderstandable.

The FC Diver is pretty unanimously one of the best AP reps out there;

The V7 SS Diver is also considered one of the few AP Super Reps;

The Ceramic is also considered a very high calibre rep AP, but only the black ceramic version, not white;

Don't want to sound horrible but if you find 400 dollars a lot of money for a watch that is almost a perfect replica of a 20k watch, I think you are in the wrong hobby. 400 dollars feels like a bargain to me

My advice when you buy a chrono version..never use it! Even on gens it can cause problems with the movement. You can imagine what issues you will have with reps.
If you want a watch only for the chrono function, go for a nice quartz one.

Thanks for the advice. That really helped alot. Im not gonna use the chrono function like a psycho but its nice to have it like the gens. Gonna maybe use it once a month just to check it if it still works

When you do, remember to always reset near 12.

You're welcome. Use the search function, there are a lot of threads about movements and nice watch reviews.
Ill do that, but I guess I dont have to read the reviews from 2014? Guess that the watches have been updated since.

I'd say if you are going for a ROO then get it for the look and not the chrono function, these 7750 movements originally have the sec@9 and are therefore modified to fit the sec@12 design of the ROO. Meaning its highly advisable not to tamper with it or else you risk damaging the movement. I dont see why you would want to use the chrono at all. I have a ROO and HBB and have yet to even test the chrono function, its just there for the looks.

I'd stick to the diver at least for now, as others mentioned, its the same dimensions as the ROO chronos minus the sub dials but with added reliability of the movement. My preference is for a steel diver V7 on an SS bracelet, commonly considered the best out of the box AP rep.

Sounds like your heart may be set on a chrono but just incase it's not I'm just going to leave this here ... ;P

http://forum.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php/254952-AP-FC-Diver-V2-perfect-aligned-bezel!

ps; I have no vested interest in this sale at all, I just troll M2M a shit load and wanted to show you what you can get with the recommendations I made.

Thanks buddy, but because of the stricted customs in Denmark, the only way for shipping is from EU, or triangle shipping method China-UK-Denmark.

Thanks for info. I see that it is a bit risky with the ROO with 7750 movements. How old is your ROO and did it make some problems?
