I thought it was supposedly not painted but anodized. Anodized shouldn't scratch that easily.

i think guys just need to be carefull wearing as metal is easy to scratch imo but scratch gives character lol

find me a 16610 lv without rehaut engravings with this exat dial layout the tc dial is using ,you cant because the dial that would be period correct for a sterile case has one tiny diffe offially certified has a massive gap,tc dial is the second from newest layout 2010

I think you mean the Mark IV dial. The Mark IV started in 2006.... you can find examples of the Mark IV dial without rehaut engravings...

I think you're right... paint was my simple term for it.... but it was electroplated

It could be that the scratches show more easily because of the color... although I somehow scratched through the green into another color (presumably aluminum). I take good care of my watches; my gen LN insert has survived nearly a year on the wrist without such a mark. Two weeks in and I already did this....

With a magnifying glass I can also see directional swirl marks where I've wiped it off. Do anodized surfaces need to cure? We're really just talking about a difference in applying the same material right (i.e. paint).

yes this is the dial that would be period correct for a sterile tc case, but the tc lv dial amazing as it is has the new layout same as this but offiiaccal certified gap is tiny it not something people will see or even notice

Got mine having a hard time turning the bezel past 2 o'clock. Yes I'm pushing down.

Sigh, oh you're talking about the infinitesimal text font as most do. Which is never set in stone and which Rolex constantly changes and varies.

That is smaller than a hair on the wrist.

Drop a little Teflon lubricant under the bezel. I used Remington gun oil.... but just about any should do fine... lightning chain oil or something.

Ok so the TC LV dial is probably not period correct BUT it's perfectly conceivable that when rolex introduced the rehaut engraved case they continued using up the existing stock of non engraved cases for 1-2years (in which time they made various dial changes). Nothing is black and white with rolex and it's impossible to get called out if your dial is 1-2 years either side of the notionally accepted norm for the period.

Even if your dial is more than 1-2 years out of the accepted period correct norm doesn't mean your 8-15 year old classic sub is FAKE....maybe your watchmaker replaced the dial for a newer/older dial at a service? That's the beauty of classic subs....it's practically impossible to get called out.

You don't have the same flexibility with the newer ceramic subs unfortunately.

Pretty much spot on. Font differences and service replacements are the norm. Unless it's wildly varying like cheap reps, it really is no problem.

what is the current waiting period if one orders today? Also, incase I regret my purchase(am looking for Hulk), would it be easy to flip in CONUS with minimal loss?

Only TC and God know and I bet not even TC knows, get over it this is a hobby we do for fun not profit, Patience is a virtue and if you don't like it then you have not looked at the pictures and have never held a 16610

Someone just posted they ordered one a few days ago and TC quoted 30 days. Hard pressed to believe you will regret buying one after you see it in person, but if you did I'd think it would sell in 30 seconds on here.

I was quoted 30-40 days. For an lv. My payment was acknowledged on 3-10-15. But what baffles me is for the people who've paid later than I have, have already received their watches. I'm coming up on 35 days now. Should I email or wait some more. Please someone put me at ease. Haha

Ha! I paid back at the end of October, when TC announced the new LV - then patiently I had to wait until February to receive mine. ;(

Anyway, from day one the movement has been off for 1-2 minutes, so I had it regulated to around +5 secs/day. Recently it's bee running very fast again at +1 min/day. Anyone getting the same thing with their TC LVs? I'm trying to determine if I should be worried because the movement isn't accurate and dependable. I've emailed TC about it, but you know how busy he is. :(
