Gentelman. Rolex uses 904L Stainless steel meanwhile our pirates are sturggling to make the best out of 316L stainless steel which obviously is the first tell on rep Rolex vs Gen.
The 904L is expensive, difficult to get and has different properties than the other one mentioned above. You can just google these and you will find a lot of info about.
If you still have high expectations from a watch which costs less than 400 bucks, and expect to be like the gen, and to be perfect and if you are tired of the imperfections than yes, you should buy the gen and move to the gen forums only.
I claim to be no expert in any sort of horology or materials but that being said, there are a lot of 904L watches on aliexpress as well as 904L stainless steel in all forms sizes! I could find as low as $12 per kilo. So it is pretty cheap in its raw form. That being said, I think the pirates could make it pretty easily out of 904L stainless steel if they can make watches out of Forged Carbon and Ceramic!! I mean you would think Forged Carbon and Ceramic would be 100X harder to work with!
