+1 one for "analog" coffee. Its the best way to brew in my opinion.
I used to make coffee with a French press every day until I visited a local roastery a while back. I saw a strange looking plastic thing the barista used to brew a single cup for a customer. I asked about it and I got a typical coffee nerds lecture about the science of coffee making and a sample cup made with the thing. The revolutionary thing was called called the Aeropress. The cup was magical. I had thought that the French press was the best thing for making a simple cup. Apparently I was wrong. The aeropress gives you total control on the brew if you want to. Are there any other users onboard?

The Aerobie is great. Pretty cheap, very clean, great result. Possibly the best coffee you can make at home without an espresso machine. Although I do love stovetop devices too.

I use the hell out of my Nespresso machine. And am pretty impressed with the product it creates for the cost.

I remember those days...and the days of only one coffee to choose from. At least now they have dif brews. I ended up with a full size coffee maker in the bunk then a KeuRIG in the later years. I feel ya Steelfish.

I enjoy the coffee at Cuban restaurants. It may not be the best or worldly but I'm fine with it. I like it black or with milk.

The point is: NO BEANS, that has been ground more than 60 SECONDS prior to brewing is worth drinking imo. Half of the subtle, volatile flavours of the beans will be GONE by then!

This is key: Want better coffee? Buy the best grinder you can afford..
