I’ve read that removing the stem is always dangerous as you could screw up the keyless works. But honestly I haven’t had any problems with that. I am using the tip of a spare stem that came with an NH35 movement to remove the stem on the DG3804. No issues at all! Some people use a tiny flat head screwdriver, which for some reason didn’t work for me.

1mm screw driver (the black one afair) is usually used for stem removals as it pushes the release down without pushing it through and there is often a slit in the right size.
From my experience NH>ETA/SW>Asian ETA>DG movements in regards to ease of removing the stem without fucking up the keyless works of the movement.
Another fun build iam working on.
Tried to fit a sternkreuz (right date magnification position) acrylic crystal but the bezel would not fit for some reason.
So i tried to send it with a dremel.. learned never to do that with acrylic.
So messed up the sternkreuz crystal and my bezel gasket.
Sanded the original date mag. of the Raffles crystal, cut the sternkreuz into pieces and sanded the date mag to UV glued it onto the Raffles crystal in the right position.
And also UV glued the crystal to the case.
Aged the dial with lacquer spray, aged the insert with a little sandpaper and bleach.
Shaped the crownguards.
Expoxied the bezel onto the case, hopefully still fully turning.
If not, who cares.. i dont
Assembled everything and waiting for the epoxy to fully harden.
Will clean off some uv glued residu around the date mag afterwards.

Does anyone know what the "improvements" are on the new raffles case? I'm going to guess smaller crown guards, but any chance there's a new bezel? I know nothing, so I'm hoping someone has more knowledge than I regarding what changes were made.

This sounds correct. I believe the tube hole is too large for a genuine crown-tube, but others have said genuine crowns still fit the raffles tube.
My Raffles cases had a larger thread for standard, Chinese aftermarket tubes. It might've been 2.46mm vs 2.50mm or something that insignificant, but it was significant enough to not work.
