Looking for your feedback on my custom DSSD project...

I'm working with PB Dad on customizing my DSSD.

Mods:

• Case and bracelet bead blasted
• Crown, bezel and bracelet DLC'd
• Dial and hands to be relumed
• Trevor bezel insert

The last decision to make is what, if anything, to do with the bezel insert and second hand (painted to match). The idea is to have the engraving filled with a colored rubber, which I think would give it a cool factor without looking like it was spray painted to make it look different.

Sounds like a very inetesting project, Bachs. Go for it. The idea of the engraving to be "rubbered" tone in tone is great. Go for orange, wich would be my fav! Keep us updated.:thumbsup:

Red added per another request. I started out with orange as being the choice, but figured I'd add the other options for others to consider. Some might ask why bead blast the case? I like the texture, and really get tired of wiping the polished finish all the time to keep it nice and shiny. The two other reasons are that I think it gives it a stealthy look (like I could hide in the woods with Michael Weston without feeling like I was giving us away), and I'll never have to worry about the brushed finish getting messed up. This way, the more violence it see's the better it'll look.

Interesting undertaking, I'd go with orange on the insert, sets it off nicely against entire watch and doesn't "jump" out. Makes a nice compliment. Good luck with the task!
