well..i was experimenting, so i set it up at max temperature and i check the dial every other minute. u'll have to play by ear cause every dial react differently..the submariner dial started to show signs of impending blister formation, so i stopped before the lume aged to a rich brown.

I'll give it a try. It should go nicely with my ruggedized 024a (I brushed the case to match the bezel):

Very nice results!

I recently did a test over at Rep Geek with coffee and heating the dials....the results were awesome.

What temp did you put the oven on? I really like how the dials turn out when put in the oven...the patina
looks natural and does not have that "fake" look to it.

Great Job!

Great Job!

i put it up to the highest temperature (280degC i think), w only the heating element. i love the way the sub dial turned out! the lume looks toasted but still has the gloss to it. :)

i used instant coffee instead. mixed a thick mixture and painted it on the hands.

Doesn't it make you want to throw the watch in a glass jar with a bunch of change and shake it around to, to beat the hell out of the case :)
